Nah I don't know exactly what the setup is but they get a hotel the night before the game as well. It's not the Club Wembley one though. Which actually makes it even worse cos its £5k for one game.

Yes, but if you amortise it over 20+ years ...

Try Dixons (order similar if it no longer exists) and spend a couple of hours working out which one to buy. Your indecisiveness will finally shine through. 🙂

The Dolphin by Kings Cross is where the London supporters club go.

I’ve never been like, looks horrific. Then again, I’m a miserable fucker who likes to sit down when in a pub.

You're going to embarass yourself, aren't you?

Is it true that tickets are not transferable and you will (in theory) need ID to get in the stadium?

In theory yes. The criteria email from the club suggested there would be spot checks around the stadium. Tbh I can see that happening to an extent  due to the carry on at the Euros final, they’ve changed the licensing laws to allow this. If you haven’t got a ticket in your name they don’t want you anywhere near the stadium. No pubs within a mile of Wembley are allowed to show the game etc

Right. I've heard (about to go to the box office to check) that because of this (tickets are linked to STs)  I can't upgrade my daughter's ticket to an adult ticket. Which is just great. :(

i cant believe they could even attempt to police that mind. there's no requirement to carry id in this country is there? i remember the games at home at the back end of '21 where you were supposed to have proof of vaccination status no attempt was made whatsoever to do so, nor is there to check for id against the name on paper tickets. fucking hell, if they ever start personalising away tickets and checking for id there'd only be about a couple of dozen in the stand!

Well no (although you do need ID to vote now, but that's another rant), but it can stil be made a requirement in any private transaction. The issues for me is though it means I can't upgrade a child's ticket. At SJP concession tickets trigger an alarm at the turnstyle so presuming its the same at Wembley there is no way around this. They're not going ot let an adult in under a child's tariff.

did you manage to check with the club about upgrading a child ticket?

aye, can see that'd be an issue. i suppose i was replying more to pl's post about them effectively being able to police getting on for 90,000 people turning up at the same time at a ground with a ticket in their hand, would be a logistical nightmare..

it's proving to be a shit for you mate, genuinely hope you can get it all sorted for the day.  :)

There was still 8000-10000 tickets remaining at 12.  I'd imagine most people in today's section would have got theirs by then (there was certainly no queue at that time).  So anyone in section 4 should have a very good chance of a ticket.  The only weird thing is that they don't let anyone in any of the ballots know they have a ticket until ballot 7 is done.  You would think it's very possible there should be nothing left by section 6 & 7 which are non season ticket holders.

i did see it claimed elsewhere that there'd be a portion of tickets allocated to each period for ballot and that the club had confirmed that. could be bollocks of course!

Ive got seating reserved in two venues close to Trafalgar / Covent Garden so I’ll check them out on the Saturday and hopefully the reservation process is reliable 🤞

I hope that is bollocks.  It makes absolutely no sense.  If that's what theyre going to do why bother having any ranking at all.

Where have you reserved?

One place was called the kings sports bar (I think) inside the empire casino, the other was a pub in Piccadilly the daughter booked. Don’t know the name.

We might just see where we end up, but I thought it was worthwhile having a back up

I agree but I don’t think Wembley could get a license to put any sporting event on now without “agreeing” to put this shit in place after the Euros farrago. How the fuck they’ll police it effectively is anyone’s guess but as I said it was in the criteria email from the club so we have been told :cuppa:

It always would have been a very slim chance but there's literally no category I fall into. I'm a paid up member and I don't even qualify for general public as every home cup tie I was at graft bar the semi final which I put a last minute emergency holiday in for after the tickets were gone.

You pre-booked at two venues?
