Over the past 5 years; Wilson Played 130 - 49 Goals. Missed 114 Games DCL Played 136 - 39 Goals. Missed 88 Games That's the 'simplified' stats. The Fish 11502
No point in signing DCL. He's 28, he'll command pretty high wages, isn't a reliable goal scorer, and won't be available for half the season. Sooooo similar Callum Wilson then, who has at least been a reliable goal scorer. Delap is younger, plenty physical, looks a real prospect and will at least retain his value better than DCL. Evan Ferguson is an interesting shout, there must be a reason why he's nopt played as much. I'd guess it'll be partly due to injuries and partly due to being Irish and you know what they're like.
aimaad22 5077
DCL would be a right throwback to the Shefki Kuqi and Sibierski days and he'd have less impact than them. If we can't get someone in the Delap category than hopefully a Mitchell European prospect who can backup Isak, no idea who though given our budget constraints.

Ayatollah Hermione 15332
Not wanting DCL but wanting Evan Ferguson, a bloke who has had one good game against us and then two years of looking like a total donkey is out of this world 1

Gemmill 53564
Aye Brighton love developing young talent. It's their business model. But they've given up on Ferguson.
Holden McGroin 8199
Aye. Let’s write a 20 year old off because it hasn’t worked out at a club. NO ONE in the history of football has ever come back from that.

Holden McGroin 8199
Liam Delap would be the ideal pick to backup Isak but he’ll have a lot of suitors. he might want regular football to progress as well.

In an around the consistent 'Isak to Arsenal' rumours, I can see them ending up with David instead. David's signing on bonus and wages will make him no cheaper as a free transfer than just spending proper wedge on someone else

That £30m (not sure where you get that figure from but let’s roll with it) can easily turn into £60m with Eddies track record.

Well it was £33m for Minteh who'd never played a PL game, so yeah let's go with it.

Aye I misinterpreted your post, it read like he’d cost us 33m, obviously I saw it this way as I’m not used to you conceding a point. 😘
Gemmill 53564
Oh I'm conceding NOTHING. My point still stands that if Minteh cost £30m, Evan Ferguson isn't going for less than that.

We spent £15m on Osulu who I doubt will ever make the grade here. But if he does that will be down to Howe and his team. I don't think DCL or Ferguson are ideal to be honest but I'd hazard a guess Howe would get more out of the latter especially with the best years in front of him (hopefully). Lets see what Big Mitch can conjure up.
