Looking forward to seeing Casemiro try to keep up with the pace and movement of even the most average midfields in the Premier League.

Aye. People wondering how they've been able to get him as well. Because Ancelotti isn't a fucking idiot, I would imagine and he's already on the slide.

If Gordon goes to Chelsea then Pulisic and CHO deffo off?

Also if Everton do submit a bid, this will surly string this out.

what does gordon do that pulisic doesnt? less of a goal threat, falls over a lot and is not actually that good.

I don't think it solves their issues either.

£70m on an ageing defensive midfielder, when; their defence is broken, their midfield is... messy and their strikeforce isn't working. They've got a manager who'll want high-energy, fluid movement, and a high standard of technical ability. The Premier League demands physicality, and pace. Who the fuck is there now who can provide that, and who have they bought this window who can?

see Nemanja matic. he can't even keep up with the slow tempo of serie A. basically they are paying 350k a week for a player with declining mobility and timing. good news for people that enjoy seeing Man utd drop down the table. if teams (such as ours) play fast transition football he probably won't be near the ball.

Surely Martial,  Rashford, Sancho are enough LW's?

Guess they finally decided they might as well try and get the best LW in the league

on his day.

Martial is a one trick pony, Sancho plays more on the right, Rashford had until last night forgotten how to play football.

Lad on the Athletic Football Podcast yesterday was saying they've finally signed the perfect partner for Paul Pogba in the same window they let Pogba go to Juventus.

yep. their midfield is very disjointed. Pogba has moved from a bin fire to a nuclear reactor meltdown, Juve looked awful last night.

They've spent c£130m on an ageing defensive midfielder who has never been the most mobile, a 5'9" centreback and a leftback with some potential.

They've sold/loaned out a few players;

Alex Telles
Álvaro Fernandez
Andreas Pereira
Dean Henderson
Edinson Cavani
Jesse Lingard
Juan Mata
Lee Grant
Nemanja Matić
Paul Pogba

but the only one they've got any cash for is £8.5m from Fulham for Pereira.

And he's a very limited player. Aye he's quite good at what he does, but very limited to that role. Being in the right place at the right time breaking up attacks and laying a 5-10 yard pass to Modric/Kroos. Worked great for them as thats just what they needed with the other players in that team. Should be quite interesting to see how it pans out with McTominay and co

From Paris to Pennywell. Somebody better get this kid some counselling if this goes through.

I mean, paris isn't all the champs elysees by any stretch of the imagination, but by god the poor kid would be downgrading in spectacular fashion..

Surely they wouldn't want a player who is STEEPED IN BLOOD MONEY 😡

Unless they change their mind when it benefits them?

Everton Keen On Newcastle United Star But Magpies Will Only Do Permanent Deal (insidefutbol.com)

Fat Frank wants Almiron apparently, at least according to the guardian. Not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand if Almiron hadn't literally just scored I'd probably contribute to the taxi, but on the other our squad doesn't have enough quality yet to get rid of Almiron, unless we could be sure to bring in someone of similar or obviously ideally better quality out of the money we'd get for him. By the sounds of it Everton prefer a loan and we don't, so it's likely a moot point so to speak for a number of reasons.

Well they don’t give a shit about / openly admire Man City so that should answer that
