I’ve just broken off from my Proper Job Cornish IPA & Aperol Spritz revels to suggest that we’ll have two starters in the World Cup in November. That is all . :cuppa:

He and Trips will fix the rest of the useless English backline.

Fucking hell, how sad a cunt do you have to be to time this out in a game that you won.

Wasn't Maguire supposed to be worse the other day?

Maguire was at fault for two goals, Pope for one.

Maquire probably gets a 5 point head start though because, you know... "United".

yep, the german dribbler had him on toast. i bet all they had to say was run at the bloke with the toaster shaped head.

my rating.

the centre backs collectively : 4

Pope: 5

everyone else: a bit better than 5

This is a bullshit article from a Newcastle fan who should know better. Basically the main argument against Pope is his distribution. This is illustrated using stats for 2022 which completely ignores the fact that he played the majority of those games for a relegation bound Burnley where he was instructed to launch the ball long.

Whereas if you look at the stats for this season when he's been playing for us it tells a much different story. I'm not saying that should make him England's No.1 but it certainly removes one of the sticks used to beat him.

Reminiscent of the Murrays and Dunblane in a way.

Yeah that's why sprung to mind although in that example didn't Hamilton regularly get lifts from Judy Murray?
