Very poor performance.

A lot of the players I always said weren’t good enough that performed well last season when teams were open against us last season are massively struggling now teams are sitting deeper against us. Almiron and Willock break down all of our attacks tbh.

Another shit game by Targett as well.

Difficult to break down a team which just sits on the edge of their box. That said, we're not making it difficult enough for them to defend against. I don't think we have enough quality to take sides apart when they do this.

We have half a dozen championship standard players, at best. Failed to upgrade them. Have no one else to blame. We'll be a different team with Maxi and Wilson back yet we know we cant always count on them be it due to fitness or form in Maxi's case.

Work in progress etc etc. But still a very frustrating day, as poor a performance as we've had under Howe.

We're never going to be a consistently good side until we have better than Championship quality on the bench. Especially so when we have a couple of injuries to our best players. Even if we replace Almiron we'll still need better than him coming off the bench. It's going to be a pretty slow process unfortunately.

Mustoe and Tim Howard saying that wasn’t a pen  apparently it wasn’t a clear error from the ref, erm aside from the fact he completely missed the player hitting the ball with his hand. He clearly moved his hand and blocked the ball for fucks sake. Tim Howard is one of the thickest pundits going btw, up there with Agbonlahor.

Disappointing start to the season. we’ve been unlucky with injuries to key players and with referee decisions but I’m going to be critical of Howe for the first time. I like the high pressing style he’s trying to implement but he doesn’t have a plan b. Or if he does have one, we only see it when the game is already gone. It was obvious how things were going on the hour mark but he isn’t bold enough to change the system and go two up front.

We needed a plan b today without Wilson and ASM. We lacked the creativity to break down a stubborn Bournemouth side. It’s not Howe’s fault that we didn’t get the extra winger and midfielder to improve our squad depth but having another way of playing is something he can control.

Disconnect in final third, it's not news, it remains our primary issue. Sort it in January hopefully.

People will know how desperately we need to upgrade so the problem of inflated prices wont go away. Unless we change our transfer policy I don't see a wildly successful Jan window. We may end up taking a bet on European prospects than the likes of Maddisson.

Just hope the boo boys don't start calling for Howe's head FFS.

We look miles better and a whole lot better now with him at the helm.  Yes it's frustrating, especially the draws but at the end of the day the squad was wank and it's gonna take time.

Turgid. That constitutes the first truly bad result so far this season. You can tell by the few mackems showing up to comment.

Gotta agree that Wood needed to be on the field way earlier. The gameplan lacked for imagination and aggression.

I get Howe's idea is to simply win with Plan A. But we're not there yet. We have a squad comprised or at least a half dozen Championship players. And sometimes we need to go to Plan B to get our best 11 on the pitch and avoid using the likes of Murphy or Fraser or Almiron and hoping they'll do something other than be bang average.

Everyone except Trippier and Bruno was poor in attack today. That speaks to a gameplan that just didn't work because it's not as though Bournemouth played well. We were just shit.

Let's hope we get ASM and Wilson back next match because we need them and Howe needs them if we're going to finish around that 8th spot this season.

It was an abject performance today. The likes of Targett, Schar, Willock & Miggy weren't up to the standard we've come to expect from them. Isak looked isolated. The absence of delivery to the front man is something we urgently need to address.

On a positive note, we didn't lose. That's the sort of game under Bruce that we'd have gone behind and caved in.

Hand was in an unnatural position. Clear cut penalty.

Might get him on the cheap though since Leicester are doing poorly and he was apparently keen on the move in the summer. You never know..
