Tbh that’s about as well as we’ve played there in years

You can pick issues out all over the pitch tbh, but that’s tempered by us playing one of the best sides in Europe. We should be level pegging with them. Our xG stats will be interesting for that half or we could just count the chances we’ve missed . Put one of them away and it’s a different game. There’s still not a hellish lot wrong with this side 🤷🏻‍♂️

the way this manc bint is purring about citeh you’d think we weren’t at the races. It’s bad enough we get carragher when we’re playing Liverpool or Neville when we play Man U, now we have to listen to this bird

The biggest issue for me is how we transition from the high press when they're able to break it. Too much space when they do and our players sprinting back are easily beaten. Do we persist with the press or ease it back a little to remove the space between our midfield and defense?

Oh.

he hasn’t looked too bad to me. Presses with energy. I’d like to see him attack his fullback on the outside instead of cutting inside every time

Helpful Chap? Possibly the geezer in the library who helped him get on the internet?

They have some of the best midfielders on the planet, if they want to break the press, they can. You’re on a hiding to nowt against these as they’re good enough to play against whatever you put in front of them. At 1-0, you’re always in it. Keep it there until we make some subs and who knows

Also, imagine wanting a new signing to fail for your club just because he plays in the same position as some headband wearing weirdo you’ve worked yourself into a parasocial relationship with

Did you not watch him spend 90% of the match walking? or tripping over his own feet and being out of position

Agree, so we should be resetting our line a little amd not committing so high.

I don't approve of this BTW I'm merely the interpreter.

Do you have to have inter-relations with your close family or be able to look in 2 completely different directions at once to be able to interpret Scouse, Mackem or indeed Scouse Mackem?
