Gemmill 48802
Well if nothing else, he gave Gordon a fair crack of the whip, and he had the balls to drop Kane. Both things which his super limited predecessor couldn't do. 2
RobinRobin 12181
WTF was Kane doing getting booked deep in his own half? Great pass for Bellingham but if he wants to play as a striker he probably needs to be closer to goal. He always seems to be struggling to get there when the ball's coming in from the wings. Gemmill 48802
Someone needs to have the conversation with him that his dropping deep AND being mobile enough to turn up in the box days are over. He's still an absolutely lethal finisher, he's just not around enough to do it, and having really mobile flanks is underlining the fact.
RobinRobin 12181
Shearer understood that and let Bellamy do his running.
wykikitoon 22185
He's always dropped deep even at Spurs. I just think now with his legs gone he can't do it. But to get booked that deep what a dick. If that lad who got sent off wasn't such a dick holding onto the ball first half he wouldn't have been off as it was a second yellow.
Dr Gloom 23248
I hope Tuchel has the balls to follow Carsley’s lead and rotates Kane. Giving the captaincy to Bellingham would be a statement of intent. Clearly Kane still has loads to offer but his lack of mobility and his penchant for dropping deep mean he isn’t suitable to start games when we’re trying to press from the off. He’s still a great player for the right opposition but I don’t think he’s got the legs anymore to remain an automatic starter/captain

Quote Such promise is a long way from Newcastle under Mike Ashley’s stewardship, where England caps were rarer than August snow. Before Trippier appeared in June 2022, the last Newcastle player to represent England was Andros Townsend in 2016. Before him, only Alan Smith, Andy Carroll and Michael Owen won England caps during the Mike Ashley era. Owen, at the 2006 World Cup, had been the last Newcastle player to represent England at a major tournament before Trippier, Nick Pope and Callum Wilson 16 years later.
PaddockLad 18479
Scotland winning 0-1 in Warsaw at the break, Doak with another assist for McGinn, hit the post and bar too. That’s not to say Poland haven’t threatened but 42 year old geriatric jambo (ie the same clan as @Toonpack) Craig Gordon has been great…. and Lewandovski isn’t playing, obvs
