Wykiki doesn’t. He has found the next weak link in the team now that Sean has gone and Big Dan is fucking class.

Expect lots of “FFS Barnes” whenever he misplaces a pass.

Looking back at the way we played last night. Sort the striker situation out & we've a bloody good team. Solid at the back, brilliant in midfield & fast up front. Quiet a few times Elanga ran past there defender & whipped the ball in the box for nobody to be there as they couldn't keep up with him, he's like lightening. I thought it was very telling that Yas (hugs)& Jamie greeted Eddie & the players as they came off. They know we're very close to having a good squad.

Had that thing where you wake up and the first memory that floods your brain is that little shit getting the winner last night.

The injuries were a bit of a disaster too, but Miley, Ramsey, Osula, and Thiaw start v Leeds and that should still be enough for them hopefully. Then the international break to hopefully bed in a Wilson replacement, and I would sincerely hope that disgrace cries off any Sweden duty and actually starts doing his job again.

Loads and loads to be positive about from the first two games. They were nowhere near us for most of last night, and it'll be good for the lads coming in to get a little run in the team.

Pretty much the same - what we saw in terms of the team effort and how they played was a massive positive. Both games have been like that and when you consider those teams in and around us, they've all got their foibles. Arsenal, Spurs & Liverpool the only ones to not drop points so far and all look fallible!

Trying to weigh up what's the greater disappointment for me - the result, and the nature of it, or the injuries. I think it has to be the latter. I'd have loved to have done Liverpool over - even a 2-2 draw with 10 men would have felt like a massive victory, but we're two games into the season - a narrow defeat can be left behind us. Knowing how long Joelinton & Tonali might be unavailable for is a cause for anxiety.

I like Barnes, but last night wasn't a night for him.  It was too intense for him.  He should have ran more at their makeshift RB who was on a yellow and didn't.  But he should have maybe been told that by Howe.

One thing later on.  Elanga was gassed to fuck and we didn't have a replacement for him.

Does Jacob Murphy not count anymore?

If we’re clutching for positives, we drew with Liverpool last season and drew with Liverpool at home so it’s the same combined points to total from those two games. There are much easier fixtures to come and we e started this season playing much more convincingly then we did last season.

On the other hand, we’ve lost two titans in midfield, possibly for months, and still haven’t addressed the striker situation.

We need to be active in the final week of the transfer window. I hope the chairman saw enough to sanction the signing of new strikers and a midfielder

I thought you were implying we didn’t have a replacement available.

id imagine all the players that played 90 were fucking gassed. I’ve played in a team with 10 men before and it’s fucking hard work. These lads went beyond anything I’ve seen for a long time in terms of effort and commitment.

If he gets a pay rise, gives 100 percent every week and bangs in 30 this season then I’ll be okay with that. But it won’t happen.

Even if he does change his mindset back he’ll be over analysed on every little detail. One bad game by him and there will be hell on with the fans. I just can’t see a way back for this for him with overall fan base.

In a week this will hopefully all be over and we’ll have some closure one way or the other.

The issue I've got with this is if it does happen, we'll retrospectively ask "what if" for the remainder of the season. If we miss out on something by 5 points, there's going to be a lot of fucking vitriol towards the cunt because with him in the starting XI (and doing his usual thing), we beat both Villa and Liverpool for me.

i said earlier in the summer that he needs to apologise and get the PR machine sorted BEFORE the window closes but it doesn’t look that’s going to happen. It would be a lot better look than doing this after the 1st Sept.

On a side note; the window closes at 7pm this time.

You'd think that would be the sort of supply a prolific striker would consider a lottery win in terms of further raising his profile. Isak is a blinkered fuckwit! He's bought into the BS his agent has fed him and completely overlooked the material improvement of the squad who were with him.

I think you're being particularly harsh on both.

Nowt personal, and some have alluded to it elsewhere, but it's almost like you have to have a 'room for improvement' on the pitch. I think every single player who wore black & white last night gave their all and nothing more could be asked of them.

We lost the game, not because of anything of our doing, but because multiple decisions went against us (shock, horror!) and they seemed intent from the outset to go through our players. If anything it underpinned for me how much of a threat they find us - we're better than then on the ball, so they'll kick us instead. That isn't the Liverpool I remember as a kid - more akin to Wimbledon!

Part of the reconciliation (if it happens) will have to include us not dealing with that agent ever again.

We need to follow Ajax & PSV's lead and issue him a lifetime ban.

I'll be interested, when all this dies down, to see if the PFA have anything to say. Whatever you think about him, it's clear Isak has been in receipt of appalling professional advice. His union should be supportive of him both in terms of his interactions with his employers, but also his advisors.

Aye it was the injuries that really cost us in this regard, Tonali easily lasts a full 90 even in a super intense game, he would have stayed out there, possibly Joelinton too. The additional substitute(s) sees Murphy on for Elanga and possibly means that Murphy tracks back at the end and they don't get an open shot.

Our midfield three of Bruno Sandro Joe was a beast and would boss most games without two of them we need reinforcements in as much as Miley & Ramsey are good we need some more muscle in

There's plenty of positives from the first two games even without the points comparison to last seasons same matches.  We played well in both games and showed a tremendous togetherness despite a really hard summer.  The injuries are, of course, an issue but Ramsey looked sharp and seemed like a more attacking option for us that should help us breaking down the weaker teams.  Miley looked sharp as well as did Thiaw.  There's lots of positives for the season ahead but everything will depend on sorting out the striker situation one way or another.

Nah, if he’s still here an available for selection then it would do no harm for him to get game time under his belt considering he’s missed the entire preseason.

When the fixtures came out I thought 2 draws from first 2 games would be minimum and considering what’s gone on with the CUNT we’ve done very well, a draw last night and we’d be pretty happy you can see this team is up for it

The game's cruel enough without Sandro and big Joe being goosed, I only hope it's a couple of weeks at worst but we'll find out how bad it is later in the week, you get fuck all against these cunts and their red pals at OT and so it goes on and on and on, season after fucking season. It's quite funny if you detach yourself for a minute what and who decides what to look at and punish and what gets brushed away. Clue: it's what doesn't upset these cunts, their red brethren and their army of client journalists and ex-players who infest the sporting media.
