I must admit I thought this deal was dead and questioned the wisdom of continuing to pursue it all the way to the last hours of the window. But, fuckin, what do I know. Clearly not much. Not that that was ever in question. Massive credit for the perseverance shown by the club to get him. Perfect signing for the season and a few to follow. Eases the pressure on big Nick. Perfect compliment with a big man/little man combination, if they were to play together on occasion too. It has turned out to be a massive massive window for us and, added bonus, our PSR position is still strong. Clobber Wolves after the international break, and we will, and we're off and running for the season. Best of all! We'll never know what the real story was with him and Brentford, and I've seen some stuff online from their fans and they're pissed off, so daft to just believe the player's side. Whether Brentford were playing silly beggars in order to scare us a little by way of revenge I don't know, but as people have already said Wissa is going to be crucial for us not only for his goals, but in allowing us to bed in Woltemade. And obviously you just need more than one credible option up top. To think that at the very least our season until January could have been severely hampered and it came down to 30 seconds is crazy.
