Not exactly the same but probably similar. It's been brilliant - good solid build and excellent lens, and very easy to use. The 55 has slightly improved specs and is even smaller I believe, I would get myself one if I didn't already have the 400. So yeah, I'd go for it. I have thought about getting one, but at the end of the day I'm not going to want to carry something like that around with me. It's more for serious photographers. And sorry - I didn't see this thread til now but thanks I've been playing with my camera at work tonight and as boring as empty operating theatres are, it takes cracking pics. I definitely have an interest in learning more about photography and how to do it properly, so who knows - I may need a Nikon before too long!
