"Emergent service worker", apparently. Seems to be largely based on renting rather than owning.

Same. Did it again putting in that I own somewhere and was technical middle class. I have almost nothing in the second cultural segment!

It loosely fits the funny I was contemplating ;)

"socialists whose comfortable upper middle class lifestyles are perceived to be incompatible with their professed political convictions".

I was referring in particular to the hashtag.

Currently on the bus now as I am going to the doctors and as the bairns are off the bus is canny busy as it is but then there's parents sat down the front of the bus whilst their kids are running riot at the back of it. Look after your kids ffs and think of others.

apparently i'm elite

fuck knows what they're basing that on!

  • Enjoy high cultural activities such as visiting museums and listening to classical music - ticked museums but not classical music
  • Went to private school and elite universities - er, no.
  • Socialise with people who do a wide variety of jobs - that's the only accurate one.

I am established middle class.

I'd definitely have put myself in a more working class group when I was a kid, but having a decent degree, a mortgage and professional qualifications are pretty middle class things these days.

No big deal.

I've seen this posted on several other websites and there seems to be a lot of people embarrassed by being "middle class", as if it's a bad thing. It's perfectly possible to be middle class and not read the Daily Mail.

Is the latter more to do with living in London?
