Just realised that I'm supposed to be getting the tube from London Victoria to London Euston on Tuesday to catch a train to Manchester but there's a planned strike. Fuck's sake.

Is this when you're coming from Brighton, Jonny? If so, there are trains that chug through from Brighton to St. Pancras directly (via London Bridge), then it's a short walk from there to Euston. Takes a bit longer than the fast trains into Victoria though, and I assume you might already have a ticket specifically to Victoria, in which case that's a no-go.

Otherwise, the number 73 bus from Victoria to Euston is your friend - obviously factor in more time though!

Alternatively, if you do bite the bullet and get a cab, everyone else will be in the same boat so do ask in the queue if anyone else is going to Euston/Kings Cross and wants to share. Even Londoners have been known make eye contact and talk to each other in such situations. :D

They did a report on this on Sky News today. One of the people they interviewed was a black bloke (ghetto person) holding a handwritten sign that said:

"Is basketball more importance than our diggity"

 Oh, does it ever. They have a dedicated Eurovision bar, for heaven's sake! CT would love the whole complex - camp 80s music, tat shops and all-you-can-eat Chinese buffets all under one roof. :D
