NJS 3976 Posted May 15, 2014 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Made redundant this afternoon Subject to 30 day consultation period and I don't know how much they're giving me yet but I should be okay for a few months. Time to ramp up the job hunting - though it will be easier to get contracts once I'm completely free without a notice period. Been trying to get out for a while but it's still a pisser. catmag 336 Posted May 16, 2014 Share Posted May 16, 2014 So an hour before I leave for work last night I discover water slowly dripping through my sitting room ceiling at 3 seperate points. Not going to work is not an option so switched the water off and the boiler/heating/water tank, waited half an hour during which time it appeared to slow to almost a stop, crossed my fingers and went to work. Had a fucker of a night, did 5 emergency operations and was just praying that my ceiling was intact when I got home.
