These are definitely "random" thoughts but hey ho.

I should also add they are inspired following the watching of Vikings on Amazon Prime.

1. We tend to say Rest in Peace where as the Vikings seemed to view after life as a great adventure with the gods after death. Doing all the things they enjoyed in life. Fighting, partying etc.

Do we really want our departed to rest in peace or do we prefer the image of Pav, managed by Sir Bobby, playing with Gary Speed and having a great time. (No Pav disrespect intended, just I was thinking of him today and RIP came to mind followed by fuck rest, do what you love up there).

2. Would a 800's AD King, prefer to be an 800's AD King or a commoner today with the lifestyle your average commoner has.

As I said, random

How can mirrors be real if our eyes aren't real?

Bit of a rant here, apologies in advance.

I got a bulldog puppy four month ago and I am at my wits end, not with her she is an absolute star, but her illnesses and mainly vets. She cought kennel cough a while ago which is common and nothing to worry about in most dogs. Because of the way her face is, it developed into aspiration pneumonia, she spent a couple days in an oxygen tent at the vets and was let home with some anti-biotics.

She has been coughing and on these pills for three fifth of her life, today we were back at the vets again and apparently we can do a bronchial flush/sweep which means we can get some fluid off her lungs and see exactly what it is she has and target it instead of broad spectrum drugs.

I am annoyed for numerous reasons. When I signed up to this particular vet it was recommended by the kennel club as a bulldog specialist, I have rcently found out that the vet there who was a bulldog specialist left ages ago and now they are mainly locum vets but nobody thought to tell the KC. Also if this sweep/flush was an option why have we put a really young puppy through 3 month of medication that's done nowt and coughing/hacking, instead of doing that first?

Just feel like instead of enjoying having a puppy that I have wanted since I was a teenager I am constantly worrying about her, she has been mainly a house dog for 5 months now because of her problems so now when I do try and take her out she is shit scared of everything and is behind in her socialisation.

Sounds like shit luck mate. There's no guarantee that a specialist would have done anything different. Obviously they'll want to try pills and that first before doing anything invasive. If you're really not happy then change vets. I'm sure it's really frustrating but hopefully when you get it sorted you'll both have better luck.

Awful news about this 15 year old lassy in Cullercoats bay.

I went to mama rosa for a takeaway pizza after the match and saw a dozen police cars and ambulances. Feared the worst.

Horrible, remember dodging the waves on that pier as a bairn. Always in summer though, the water is lethal at this time of year if you fall in it.

Cheers mate, I nust needed to vent. She is in the vets again tonight over night. She coughed up and stopped breathing and then collapsed off the settee. The poor fucker is breaking my heart. The lung sweep is being done tomorrow so we should have answers then. Hopefully its a case of them identifying what is wrong and its can be fixed.

Anyone ever had an eye twitch? Mine's been flicking like a dodgy light bulb for about three days. It's driving us nuts

I get it a lot, probably teaching you to suck eggs, but water and proper rest should sort it.

Failed my driving test. Didn't indicate moving off on to an empty roundabout, nothing behind me.

I know it's a mistake but the fucker gave it as a major whereas most wouldn't. 4 other minor mistakes. Bastards.

If it's any consolation, 20 years from now you won't be able to remember whether you passed first time or not.

Good luck for the next one - you'll crush it next time cos there'll be none of the nerves.

All the best people fail first time.

They don't do what I did though and lock the keys in the car before leaving the test centre.
