Couple of times I had mates come up to stay during the University breaks, they wouldn't be told that a smaller portion would be more than enough and 1/2 would go in the bin. Or my sister.

Half of your mates would go in your sister? That's some friendship, that

Hey, we all joke and that's fine, but don't say that about my friends, y'hear!

My parents are on holiday atm and their house alarm has randomly gone off. The worrying thing is it took 10 seconds to turn it off at the fuse box, take 1 screw out of the front panel and disconnect the battery! I always thought they had some sort of failsafe hardwire to the electric supply

When my house was getting refurbished, we had to get a specialist alarm company to deactivate it. Even with cutting off the power at the mains, it has a battery which is supposed to trip it if tampered with iirc. Probably just depends on the system I guess.

Aye but the battery is literally a small car battery type thing that sits in the bottom of the box. The wire isn't even soldered on, it's just a spade connector. Your specialist alarm company is laughing all the way to the bank

It was the builders who insisted we get it deactivated from an alarm company, they wouldn't touch it. The alarm company didn't even charge, they were happy to just a tender for a replacement system. The builders ripped me off, but that's another story....

The Habour View chippy always reminds me of one time I was in there after taking a microdot. Took my chips down to the little pier afterwards and thought I was on the quarterdeck of a destroyer. Nice chips as well.

Genuine observation. A lot of your anecdotes from life involve taking drugs
