Gah, didn't realise you'd posted the same thread on here. Anyways, you can't have a player who isn't opening for his country opening for a World Test XI. The starting 2 simply aren't aggressive enough.

 

Oh and your omission of Afridi from the ODI XI is simply laughable tbh.

We thought about this the other day and here was my test team

 

1. Hayden

2. Trescothick

3. Ponting

4. Dravid

5. Hussey

6. Kallis

7. Flintoff

8. Gilchrist

9. Warne

10. Hoggard

11. McGrath (have my doubts as he isnt playing so possibly Ntini)

 

ODI's... meh

Yep a player that certainly holds the Australian middle order together and one of the most clean strikers of the ball. Currently Averaging 75 in tests so i couldnt go past him especially his form of late.

 

Pietersen would be in my one day side but not my test side.
