Linksys router and a Belkin card.

Don't bother with a Belkin router though. I had to take a couple back because they overheated.

You should be able to get a deal for a router and adapter at PC World for around £50.

Aren't PC World like the WH Smith of the computer world (grossly overpriced).

You can occasionally get OK deals if you know what you're doing I find. And ignore their absurd extended warranties.

If you're buying from PC World ALWAYS look on their website first for what you want. I've bought things from there that were £120 if you just went to the shop for them, but £80 if you paid for them online to pick up instore. You just pay for them online and then you have to wait an hour before you can go to the shop and get them. Tip from the top! :)

Also re Telewest - I see they've introduced their version of Sky + (TVDrive). Anyone got it and if so is it any good?

These prics should wear masks, they're already getting £75 a month out of me for the phone, tv, net & that teleport shit and now they want more, oh! but they'll install it free if i keep my existing box in another room for a fiver a month, i bet you fucking will.

Well I've got news for them, I'm already wired up for an extra box and that said (chipped box) is on fucking order, so screw you!

Be ringing them fuckas today.

Ring and tell them you're shifting to Sky man. They'll sharp find a special deal to put you on - point out their current introductory deals and say you want some of that to stay with them. I'm gonna do the same with Sky (half price for 3 months is their current effort for new customers whilst the old ones get fleeced).

I think I'll try that. Fact is Telewest are taking the piss, posting flyers thrugh my door with fantastic introductory offers for new customers only. What about customer loyalty, the bastids?

Mind, I don't pay as much as Whacky. Are you getting some specialised channels Whacky? :)

Me think me gets it wrong somewhere. Im paying BT for BB and phone at around £40 a month and Sky around £45 a month plus Sky Box Office at around £10 a month. Also been considering Sky + but they want £150 for the box and £10 a month more.

£95 a month seems steep like. Is your home TV/internet use really worth over a grand a year to you?

My blueyonder is still running slow and dropping the connection, anyone else?

I think mine's OK now. You've obviously pissed them off..... :)

On a similar note I was kept on hold for over an hour last week trying to get my PAC number from T-mobile.

you wont have to pay the £10 extra if you subscribe to sports or movies, which seeing as youre paying £45 Im guessing you have both.

Seriously, £45 a month on TV, is that not exessive? It's more than I pay for ANY amenity. Is TV more valuable than water?

What do sky offer that could possibly be worth nigh on £600 a year? Every show on there is available on DVD and would come in for less than that.

It can only be worth it for the sport, but even then, Skysports news is free anyway. Aren't you better off spending the money in the pub and letting them pay for Sky?

Just rang Sky, threatened to leave and join Telewest and they've given me 3 months at half price (£18 a month instead of £36), and told me to ring back in 2 months and they'll see what they can do for me again.

0870 8502801 is the cancellations number and it takes 5 minutes - their arse goes pretty much straight away - if anyone fancies it. :)

I've got a BT phone package which is very reasonable, Tiscali broadband (no probs at £14.99 p/m) and a freeview box.

Nothing to complain about really except itv have taken Men & Motors off the freeview channels and replaced it with some shite called itv play.
