Andy Appleby was the business today. Had my brain in overdrive concentrating to our game on the radio and Blyth's in front of me- but everything seemed to turn right in both games at the same time.

Some of those lads out there have done three 90 minute shifts in 4 days and picked up 9 points. Remarkable stuff.

he was ok, tbh i prefer scotty bell. never stops running at defenders, reminds me of bellamy. appleby has the worst left foot ive ever seen in my life!

did you hang around at the end? one of the blyth officials asked fozzie to sort out the bradford fan who had been in the stand working his mouth.

best thing about non legue football! I can just imagine freddy having a word with big al about sticking one on one of the mackem fans!

Can I turn this into a "how's your other team doing" thread ?

Thanks.

1 Cowdenbeath 34 46 72

2 Berwick 34 25 70

3 Stenhousemuir 34 36 67

4 Elgin 34 0 52

5 Queens Park 34 6 50

6 Arbroath 34 6 49

7 East Fife 34 -15 40

8 Albion 34 -19 28

9 Montrose 34 -26 27

10 East Stirling 34 -59 23

Champions get promoted automatically. Second, third and fourth go into play offs with ninth from the division above. When our last manager, David Robertson, left near the end of last year, Elgin were about twenty points adrift of the play off zone. Now we're in it with two games to go. I like it.

Elgin's Martin Johnstone is the league's top scorer.

You an RA fan Bizza? Been linesman at the RA a few times this season, was the big derby today at Northallerton! Penrith will get that 3rd spot I think.

Did an away game at Consett, where RA were playing. Was a late replacement.

I hope to be down there more next season, I'll give ya a shout if I am.

Do you see me constantly prattling on about Reading's success? :nufc:

102 points, 4 away from breaking Sunderland's record for 105 points in a season.

I can see you breaking Sunderland's record this season and next

When Reading stay up I shall be the first to laugh.

Unless they finish above the toon (unlikely). Then the lads I sit next to will have a fucking field day. :icon_lol:

"Come on the mackems"

"1-0! Aaaaaaaaaah"

frickley drew 0-0 last night so we had a chance to go 2 points clear. but we get a man sent off in the first half giving away a penalty and get a 1-1 draw. still top by 2 goal difference. could go down to the wire this one!
