Duff, who sported that squad number on his shirt at Chelsea, will take over the number 11 from James Milner. Milner was initially given the number 11 after Lee Bowyer's move to West Ham United back in June, but he will now revert to the number 16 he wore at Newcastle prior to moving to Aston Villa on loan last season.
