daveytait176 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Share Posted July 25, 2006 Rooney belatedly confirms Toon bid A newspaper story broken by Bob Cass back in 2004 about Newcastle attempting to secure the transfer of Wayne Rooney has now been confirmed - by the player himself. In his forthcoming book (can't wait for that one), Rooney talks of arguments at Goodison Park with David Moyes and that in his desparation to leave Goodison: "If no-one else had come in I would have gone to Newcastle."
