Faye on the brink of Charlton move, according to our official site.

NEWCASTLE United have given midfielder Amady Faye permission to speak to Charlton Athletic about a possible move to London.

The Senegalese international, signed from Portsmouth in January 2005, was left out of the squad that drew 3-3 with Spanish outfit Villarreal at St. James' Park on Saturday evening.

After that friendly, Roeder told nufc.co.uk: "Amady Faye is in a situation where we have allowed him to talk to Charlton.

"Now we have to wait and see if he makes the move to London."

Faye has made 45 appearances for the Magpies.

"Now we have to wait and see if he makes the move to London."  He said, raising his hands up to the Lord.

Thank **** for that. Definately a championship player....with a championship team now likely to sign him. Match made in heaven...

Good luck Amdy, thanks for freeing up some space for Tommy G
