Nilufer Yanga -- Miss Universe

Quite fitting that 2019 has given us the first glimpse of the future of music into the new roaring twenties. This is some of the finest pop music I've heard in years. The melodies and arrangements never go where you think they will and it's the first, brilliant distilling of the readily available influences in the streaming age.

Haven't got round to hearing it yet but glad to see that it's kept the high standards of her EP.

As an aside, who decided to not tell me, avowed fan of perfect pop practitioners, Blondie, that Paramore, of all people, went out and made themselves the new Blondie two years ago?

How do youse feel about blossoms?

I want to dislike them but they have some catchy pop tunes, and I met a blossom in a pub in manc and he was sound.

Apparently they’re complete bell ends who went to private schools but pretend to be poor. I heard one of their songs and it sounded like Arctic Monkeys did on AM also I gave up.

Meanwhile the new Raconteurs album is a complete waste of time, despite a couple of decent songs.

Every Blossoms single I've heard confirms that they know their way around decently catchy choruses and verses but have no idea how to write bridges.

I’ve been stuck on a chorus for about three days now. I’ve managed to write a song with ONE riff. ONE.
