Interesting that none of these mackems have anything to say to the vast amount of points I've made about their wankhole town, their wank stadium, their downtrodden £2.87 an hour people, the vast chips they have on their shoulders, I must've made 20 key points, challenged by no one of the 180 who have been viewing this thread. Lets be honest. You know that we what you place is, and the beauty about it is, forget about the bullshit, but you wake up in the morning knowing what your place is, at least we have been somewhere and can dream of getting there again.

You seem to be pointing out all the bad points about a city, when all you have to do is turn it the other way round and it will be exactly the same in Newcastle. EVERY city has bad area's, every city has good area's. I have lived in the city centre for 3 years, opposite the St Peters Uni campus, which over looks the river wear. The development in that area has been fantastic in the last 5 years, and to be pushing for a world up bid is also fantastic for the city and surrounding area's.
Your all taking the piss out of our bid, yet if ours is not good enough why haven't Newcastle pushed for a bid yet? It's actually laughable some of the things that I have read on here, you are trying to take the piss out of something we have no control over (the bid). We have one of the best stadiums in the country, and that is a fact, we showed that you could build a great stadium and not spend a fortune like what the new Wembley has cost. Our stadium can be increased in capacity within a matter of weeks.
Unlike some of the fans on here I am not going to slate your club, stadium or fans as a whole but it's like the majority of idiots have congregated in one place to trade insults about something that really doesn't matter. It's not life or death, if we don't get this world cup bid we aren't all going to drop down dead due to disappointment.
And after reading your comments Stevie, I can only come to one conclusion ...... you hate Sunderland more than you love Newcaslte, and I think you may have a problem.

I even keep away from the RTG boards as much as I can! You obviously will expect this from mackems, but the mentallity of that place is ignorant, backwards, and downright annoying. A great deal of them share a collective "group mentallity", that throws abuse and condemns everyone and everything.
That's one way of putting it, I just like the term "full of tossers" it's a lot easier than saying that.

Re: being in the papers.
It's not something I'm pleased about, I'd much rather we were on the back pages for the right reasons. Playing great football, signing great players, winning things. I raise it because it's proof we're a big club. Middlesbrough haven't been mentioned, Southampton are going through a nightmare take over, Pompey aren't stable either. These clubs are of note and yet aren't making noise. I raise it in response to fans saying that we don't matter. Rightly or wrongly, we clearly do.
That's a fair point, I would class Newcastle as a bigger club than all of those clubs you mentioned and it's a big thing at the moment. A lot of information is an over reaction by the media and they love to make a mountain over a molehill but when it's affecting as many people as it is it's going to sell papers. It's what most people want to read about when they turn to the back page.
It's just a shame it's happened to a North East club, as we are always going to be in the shadow of those dirty southerners lol.

I'm not bothered by the average mackem, I love the banter we have together. It's the ones who are so staggeringly deluded as to the size and importance of their club.
Can't disagree with that, I have said since we got promoted that staying up in the premier league needs to be our main focus for at least 2/3 seasons. We need to get established and then build from that.
Most Geordies know we're not in the same ball park as Man U and Arsenal, most have accepted we won't be for a long long time. Some sunderland fans seem to think they're as important a club as Everton or Villa... and they're just not.To be honest, the "big" four are not going to be over taken any time soon the best any club outside the top four can do is aim to catch Villa and Everton, I can hold my hands up and say Sunderland will not be doing that anytime soon either, but unfortunately you get some people who expect too much and think that doing that is easy.
They haven't the history, nor the present to back up that claim. We're not title chasers, we're not even in the premiership, yet we still matter more than they do. It's also nice to read all this "we're bigger than you now" stuff to remind me why I despise the Mackem cunts - I hope theres a few really good kickings awaiting them.

We are in the premier league for now but whose to say 3,4,5 years down the line we could be back in the CCC. I have Mackem mates I can take this stuff from but I'm sick of reading all this "formed in 1992" shit from people who never went to Roker Park. I'd argue that for every "glory hunter" claimed by Mackems to have started watching us in 95 etc, there are just as many Mackems whose only experience of football is the SOL.
I also think its wrong for Mackems to sneer at the notion that our passion deserves reward when they would feel the same way about themselves.
Too true, it's tit for tat and it always will be. I think you learn to ignore the ones that haven't got a clue and you can generally spot them a mile off as there the ones speaking shit.
I don't think anyone can say that they are 100% happy that you guys are down as the Derbys are always something special and it's generally the first fixture you look for when the new ones come out. I generally hope that NUFC get themselves out the shit, the club is way to big the the CCC and even the most irrational Sunderland fan can see that.
Without getting into this shit I once knew a mackem who got a season ticket when they went up into the Premiership under Reid and when they were doing quite well and he didn't know they'd won the cup in '73.The Dam will be a fucking nightmare for this btw as both sets of fans will have their fair share of charvas having whiteys
It's part and parcel of every club, the more success the more fans you will get on board, and it's a shame a lot don't know the history of the clubs when "deciding" to become a fan.

It's a shame, I always have good banter with the mags at work and at home and I bet most people on here are friends with Sunderland supporters, yet when it comes to the internet it all goes too far and everyone just looks like a bellend.
