1. now matey....I'm prepared to admit if I have made assumptions, with good reason, they may indeed be unfounded, see the above post !! Time will tell because we don't know though for sure do we. I don't know what assumptions about Bellamy you mean though ? Still think he is out of order though insinuating the spirit at Newcastle under Sir Bobby was "not very good", when Souness actual results on the pitch are nowhere near as good as Sir Bobs..not to mention the direct insult to him .... 44029 leazes is spliffed up here as he is so mellow..... ...admitting he's made assumptions that may be unfounded ...giving time..."time will tell","we dont know anything for sure" .."think" he is out of order, not "know" i reckon leazes has become a grandad over the weekend and is turning a new leaf tried to put a laughing smiley in there but it wont work

i like students, when theres a gang of them together they provide loads of entertainment and a good giggle for those around .
3. you'll use it for phone calls and texting, the rest of its capabilities will be a novelty to be used for a month or so then never touched again.(nokia 3310!)
4. autumn...bring it on,crisp country walks, lovely warm pubs after crisp country walks, watching smokers pass out cos they dont know if they've finished exhaling(thanx mr hicks),local authories pulling down trees cos of the risk of damage by falling conkers, that little chill in the air that helps women stand out a little better, deserted beaches, dark nights, roll on the winter, bring on the cold, just hope it doesn't rain!!!
5. footballers interviews are bit crap though aren't they...years of being taught how to handle the press, not wanting to say anything contraversial(lest it should upset a sponsor),which footballers do we think would actually say something worth listening to anyway. lets start a lets keep football on the pitch campaign, boycott any companies that use footballers to advertise, boycott any papers that have footballers columns, tell the publishing world we dont want autobiogs of kids who've barely started their careers, let match of the day know we tape it then fast forward only to the action, missing out all the hansenesque crap.(i feel better and cleaner for that)

10. taxi would be about £5 from the central station...and the comedy there is ok'ish,if the hyena cafe is in the championship of comedy venues,,the corner house is in the upper reaches of the conference
11. i agree with a fair bit of your post LM(esp the swindon walk out bit)but i wonder how much the plc forced KK out.looking back now a lot of peope think he was right to go when he did,but with all the thanks in the world for what he done for us. we didn't "stick" with robson through a sticky time the first couple of years,he massivly changed us straight away(guillits team was a team capable of finishing top 6 and pushing on),as for dalglish's team,i wonder if shearer and asprilla hadn't got longterm injuries what would have happenend ?(he brought in hamman, solano, given, dabizas) souness has brought in,what looks on paper some very good players,i want to watch that team a few times before casting him and them out.
12. we view the position we were in differently then.souness wasn't my first choice, infact one of the main reasons i wasn't calling for robsons head was that i couldnt think of who to replace him(realistically). he's made some bad decisions regarding tactics etc but has brought in some very good players, now he has to make it work, then i'll decide. at blackburn you know they say his team that finished 6th played attacking attractive football and was built out of a relegated team. i'm prepared to wait and see,one major reason why is there is still a big problem of who would replace him(although we all know who it will be)
13. why does it have to be that sort of prediction,I and quite a few others saw massive problems even when finishing 5th(personally i hoped robson would bring in better players, others wanted robson out then, now here is the hindsight, they were right).didn't guess on a position as i didnt realise i had to on order to illustrate what i could see happening.
14. what i was referring to was us going backwards when we finished 5th(i remember quite a few calling for robson to go at the end of that season) but according to you i'm the only one.
15. that ploy again eh leazes, claiming someone will be "the only one" like you did the other week when someone said we were right to get rid of bellamy, tried to claim he'd be the only one to think that when you know that on the other board quite a lot thought the same thing. oh and quite a few of us did say so at the time, some(not me, to be honest) were even saying it at the start of that season, remember bolton and brum at home.
16. Have they been tried ? Much as I hate the Daily Mail, this mentality doesn't wash. We have been dealing with the shit-brained turds that vandalise and act aggressively to anyone who even looks at them and most often you don't even need to do THAT even knives are common now - in the politically correct manner by people who sneer at the "Daily Mail type solutions" for the past TWENTY YEARS - and the situation is FAR FAR FAR worse that it was when I was a kid in the seventies, BECAUSE of that PC viewpoint being allowed to dominate - if it worked we'd be seeing evidence by now - all we are seeing as how much worse it is - and getting worse daily. Maybe actually giving the "Daily Mail type solutions" might work - but it would mean the end of cushy little numbers for the PC brigade - parasites each and every one. The incompetents responsible for the "My rights - I can do anything I want and you can't touch me" mentality amongst the kids. I wasn't aware you were one of those PC types, Rob. 42054 to add to the above, it's a fact that the country has changed drastically. I am all for zero tolerance too. The reason that knives are more common - and used too - is tied in with all of the other thing discussed in the other posts, as well as another which wasn't. We, today in the UK, have allowed a lot of people into the country who have a far less regard for life than we did 20 or 30 years ago as well.. 42056 too true, myself i'd be starting with"get caught burgling" 5 years,"murder"life is till you die in prison, but the last sentence or 2 lets you down.
17. but we DID finish 5th. If we were going backwards quickly, why didn't you tell us at the time ? Also - pretty much the majority feeling too, AT THE TIME, was that we were underachieving when we were 5th. Believe it or not, that is why Bobby Robson was removed from his job. There is only one thing worse than someone who uses hindsight, or changes their spots, and that is someone who puts on rose tinted specs © to go with it 42094 sums you up really, unable to change your mind, and theres nowt wrong with changing your spots,if you understand you were wrong.something you could never do...its not being right, its winning the argument that matters eh ?
18. But surely if you're in an offside position, you're always going to be gaining an unfair advantage? 42098 cloughs law "if your not interfeering with play, your not on the f*****g pitch" its where the offside law falls down.if a forward is in an offside position the defenders push up to keep him there, hence he has interfered with play. easy ways to solve it.a player is deemed offside if in an offside position(would make the game cack)or a player is only offside if he touches the ball whilst in an offside position,at least then everyone knows wher they stand.
19. funnier still, lee trundle at swansea, ball rolled towards him,but he realised he was offside if he touched the ball, stood over it for about 6 yards, guided it over the line, and some would say, impeded a defender trying to clear it,ref allowed it.
20. technically the crime rate would eventually drop if EVERY baby was aborted.
21. do you drive ? either northumberland, the lakes or the peak district, pick somewhere with some ok scenery,ie northumberland national park, then head that way, find a village with about four pubs, and get a b+b,then the next day go some other town/village.
22. i'm surprised no-one has pointed out that although we finished 5th,we were going backwards quickly.
