Sven-Goran Eriksson has been sacked as manager of Manchester City.

Despite guiding City to a Uefa Cup place last season, Eriksson was told by Thai owner Thaksin Shinawatra he was no longer wanted as long ago as April.

Ridiculous.

For once I feel sorry for Man City fans, they all think this is nuts too. Still, they should have known what they were getting into when they were happy to be a foreign rich man's plaything.

Citeh (best supported club in the history of football. FACT!) and Sven parted company by mutual consent; he wasn't sacked.

Just thought I would put the record straight :lol:

Happy Face

Svennis wants to lodge a wrongful dismissal claim.

I suppose Thaskin is used to flouting employees rights though.

If it was by "mutual consent" as we're told, surely that was influenced by Shinawatra saying Sven will leave beforehand.

Can facts be considered racist? I'd have thought only opinion could.

Mark Hughes looks to be the next City boss. He wants his head read for leaving Blackburn for that nutjob. And is Hughes really going to deliver better than Erikkson in one season? Mad.

Hughes can't be that stupid, especially seeing he's a good chance of the Man u job once taggart retires.

One season at citeh potentially could fuck it up.

The thai Pol Pot is more likely to force his millions on a big name foreign manager than sparky.

More likely he'll wait for Scolari after the Euros.

He's probably got McClaren on his list because he managed England.
