ToonMarshy 2 Posted March 11, 2011 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Leon Best Fined £1,000 For Speeding It has been confirmed today that the toon star Leon Best has been fined £1,000 and been given six points on his UK driving licence. This comes as his Porsche was caught speeding in Newcastle upon Tyne and the toon player didn’t turn up to South East Northumberland’s Magistrates Court yesterday. Michael Rose, prosecuting, told the court Best’s Porsche 86 LB was caught by a speed camera, travelling at 45mph in a 30mph zone. The car was clocked on Newcastle’s Barrack Road, near St.James Park, on the 10th of March 2010. This is what his barrister Shaun Routledge told the media today: “This is a classic case of somebody burying their head in the sand. This has been brought upon himself. This is not the case of anybody trying to pull the wool over anybody’s eyes. It is very much an oversight. He is sorry for what happened, there has been a misunderstanding.
