  1. Would be a great signing in my opinon. By far the best player in the danish league. Very versatile midfielder with good size and great engine. Also both Simon Davies and Morten Gamst Pedersen are out of contract in the summer. Not world beaters, but certainly brings depth to the two flanks with their Premiership quality and experience. Another one is Dorian Dervite, Tottenham have made a mess with this young centre back. Was great on loan to Southend last season, but was refused to go out on loan again this season as he didnt want to sign a new contract. Guerrero on free transfer sounds much better than the silly fees talked about for Hugo Rodallega as well, although I guess his wages will be high coming on a bosman deal. Kevin Kuranyi also out of contract.
  2. Most of the players are "good" enough to play in the Premiership, I'd even expect the current squad to at least have a good chance of surviving. However, in the long term mostly all of them should be replaced - if the aim is to be able to fight for the 5-7 positions again. Doing this rebuilding under a reasonable financial plan will take time.
  3. Chelsea and the Manchester teams contribute a lot to that average. Arsenal is at 100 and Liverpool 80, but the highest paying teams after those (Aston Villa, Tottenham etc.) are at 50m It's certainly viable to survive on 30m in the Premiership, many does so. And if there aren't any more money at Newcastle then that's where the wages must be at the moment, poor leadership would be to use more than the club can afford.
  4. Tettey and Sapara would be better signings, more likely to perform immediately than Skjelbred. Would together cost less than £5m as well.
  5. Can't deny the figures, they are taken from the accounts and the Deloitte auditors who deals with all the Premiership clubs. You might want to live in a dream world and believe forum posters and other people apparently in the know's suggestions about individual player wages. But the total numbers are there for all to see. Newcastle one year ago paid £74.5m a year on wages, and it's likely to have raised since then. That's more than £20m above other teams like Aston Villa, Manchester City (at the time), Porttmouth, Tottenham etc. AND actually closer to Liverpool than those club. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multi...3__1416113a.pdf
  6. Not a very good game from Ranger, but as always he scores. Nathan Delfouneso from Aston Villa and Victor Moses from Crystal Palace are stand out players and future Premier League stars for sure. Today I felt the Tottenham duo Danny Rose and Dean Parrett was the key players though, England took completely over when they subbed in Parrett at half time.
  7. I wouldn't have put him ahead of any of those myself tbh Quaresma on loan is worse than a 14 million striker who scored 5 in all competeitions In all competitions he scored 14 in 32 games, and was main reason why they took part in a cup finale this season. You'd expect more in the league from a £14m striker, but he has shown enough glimpses to say that he's a decent player who most likely will perform better next season.
  8. Another two goals from Ranger today as Slovakia was defeated 4-1 http://www.thefa.com/England/MensUnder19s/...ort_290509.aspx
  9. He would be a great addition, should try to make a bid at £4m or so. 12 is silly ofc Nah he's shite and wouldn't come here anyway, i think someone maybe on the wind up Zokora's not shit, he's limited. But with extreme qualities in his physical play. He's already stated that he'd consider a move away from Tottenham as he doesnt want to sit on the bench in a World Cup year. Agree that the Spurs fan is on a wind up though.

  11. It's not always about money, but buying smart. How much have Fulham spent? If one buy only £10m players then 20 isnt much that is true. If one know the kind of player one need and do ones scouting then it is very doable to build a balanced and decent side within a likely budget.
