  1. Hello there,

Must say the traveling support did you'd proud and say most of the game except when we scored our two goals and also spoke to a few after the game walking to our bus the only bad thing I can say is some of the chavs are little arseholes but that is a minority.

If I get any pictures of the game I shall post them here.

I hope you enjoyed your trip and hope to see you's again soon.

  2. Other places to look up:

    Quayside

Baltic (over millenium bridge from Quayside)

    Centre for Life

to get to the Metro Centre - tough one for me as I drive, I know there is a bus, no 100 iirc, that I think leaves from near the monument.

Is the quayside just the big river or something else :scratchchin:

Also what is centre for life?

    Thanks

  3. There are shuttle buses run from all over the city centre to the Metro Centre.

Just make sure you've had a tetanus jab as the place is full of mackems.

As for things to do, what do you like?

Usually it would be drinking :scratchchin:....But I'm going with the bird so shopping, any theme park things? anything fun really?

    Cheers.

  4. Hi there,

I'm coming down to Newcastle on the 8th till the 12th and I was wondering what there is to do in Newcastle except the pubs and clubs?

I quite fancy the stadium tour but what else is there?

Also how can I get from roughly the Monument area to that shopping center not eldon square but I think I need to get a bus or metro think its the metro centre the massive one with loads of quadrants?

Thanks in advance any advice is welcome and appreciated.

  5. Funny the thing about Liverpool they have no game for 3 month, a host of top new signings making their home debut £15 to get in Attendance 31,002 - there'll be more at our friendly tomorrow.

I actually dont expect a good attendance from us tomorrow sadly.

You have sold 31,000 so far, on top of that we have sold the 4,000 we were given you should have given us the whole Broomloan to be honest, we'd have filled them no bother as it is I know plenty who are going in your end.

Not as bad as I thought but still thats 15-20k empty.

Yous had smaller gates against Man City, Spurs and Everton though in recent friendlies, there'll be a walk up to, maybe 40000 which is a good effort. Like I say madness not give us 8-10000 tickets imo unless the local plod wouldn't allow it.

It will have something to do with people having season tickets in those areas.

  7. I'm going, ridiculously excited for a preseason game! getting the train up later tonight and back on the sunday!

What night clubs are good on Saturday night? Did a little bit of research (10 mins or so). Is The Garage the best place to go? Sounds like it's dirt cheap in there and has a rock/indie room!

The Garage is good but I dont know about the prices also Karbon is really good and is the nightclub that attracts all the football players and money men etc but the drink prices are no different to anywhere else.

Oh and to the poster who asked was I one of they big guys who smashed up Manchester- No, I wasnt all I am trying to do is offer you's advice so you have a good trip up if you dont want my advice dont come on the thread.

  8. £14 train there

    £55 train back.

    'Tae fuck!

Have you tried Newcastle to Edinburgh? Could be cheaper?

    £33 saving.

I doff my cap at thee sir.

    Not a problem mate.

Just make sure you book a seat on the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

The trains are either completely empty or full to the rafters!

Bumpity bump for the people who havent been through it.

  9. The sectarianism in Scotland is I have to agree pretty bad I cant hide that.

There is many a songs both we and Celtic sing that should not be sung.

Although, Over the years it has certainly improved.

If any of you want to know anything regarding stuff like if it interests you ask away and ill try help, not something worth being interested in though.

We just try and find more ways of hating each other.

  10. Just as an aside, your recommendations needn't be informed by whether it's a Celtic or Rangers pub. We know you hate each other but that's irrelevant to us, as indeed it is to the rest of football.

Sorry about that but as I'm sure if we came down to Newcastle to play you's I highly doubt you'd recommend we give our money to the mackems?

No, but that's simply because the place is a shit hole.

And because it's a different city. Which'd be canny shit advice in the circumstances.

Location aside, would you recommend a mackem pub to the a away support traveling down to play you?

  12. which pubs are recomended in the city centre pre and post game? which ones are advised against?

not arsed about the usual yates and spoons pubs but rather some good real ale traditional places

The Horseshoe or Auctioneers are both in the City Center if your looking more local to the ground head down Paisley Road West to either The District Bar or The Grapes.

The only pub I advise you to steer clear from is The Stadium Bar this pub is opposite the Ibrox underground the reason I ask you to steer clear of here is because its a Celtic slophouse which is sadly full of bears on matchdays due to its location being so good .

  13. BY CAR

Leave the mate at Junction 23 and head towards Govan/Clyde Tunnel on the A8 Paisley Road West. You will come to the stadium on your right after about a mile and a half. The roads around Ibrox become pretty congested, so please allow some extra time for your journey. Street parking.

Seems a bit shitty that hes got to walk in like

Meant to say the M 8 but it changed to mate :D
