  1. This is BRILLIANT! and yes Renton, I did. Reason for it was: The right is right! Most of you on here only have half-baited political ideology!!!! Morons Being right wing doesn't make you homophobic in the same way being left wing doesn't make you pray daily in the direction of Highgate Cemetery
  2. By the way when Galaxy are away Chivas USA are usually at home, they stadium share if you're not just going to see Becks/Landon. Also the Dodgers will probably be playing when you're there if you're into that. Venice Beach is supposed to be cool too.
  3. You do realise why they're in administration? Only been accrued in the last few years and is their only time in adminiatration isnt it?
  4. Levante-4th position-32 points Granada-17th position-25 points. Win a few games and you can go from relegation fight to Champs League. Whats up with Spain!
  5. Well the way Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool are playing, Sunderland are nailed on for fourth. FYP
  6. Some people comparing Rangers with Darlington, which is a bit unfair seeing as Rangers haven't been crooked since the late 90's and are a much bigger team
  7. Surprised by how bad the attendance is here, even for Sunderland this is a shambles.
  8. The worst thing is I nearly put West End Story before I googled. Kids nowadays, fuck all culture but know shit clubs around the world, thanks FM
  9. Apologies, i just wouldn't have thought anybody who knew who they were would make such a shit West Side Story reference.
  10. Jets? I'm a Sharks man, myself en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newcastle_United_Jets_FC

  12. Fifa has outsold Pes 25 to 1
  13. India's withdrawal always leaves me chuckling
  14. I'm off to see him at Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The Cure the other headliners announced so far, so should be a good 'un! Hoping Sigur Ros get announced, to see them in Scandinavia would be unreal. Never been to a festival outside of the UK like so gonna be a bit weird but still can't say no Springsteen.
  15. The Scottish league is officially worse than the Israeli league according to the League Coefficients. The potential is there to be much better but when your FA only cares about 2 clubs that's what happens. Rangers won't go out of business
  16. Is the 'imperialist' angle bullshit though? According to Wiki it was annexed as a naval base and settled as a colony to provide a staging post for rounding Cape Horn in the 1830s.....there was an Argentine garrison there already that was forced to leave at gunpoint, and Argentina has as much historic basis to its claim as the Spanish and British before the navy moved in to claim it. I'm not sure I get the comparison with the Channel Islands either because it's what 20 miles? from Britain. It would be more like the equivalent of Japan annexing the Shetland Islands in the 19th century, building a naval base there and filling it full of Japanese goat herders. And then telling the UK to fuck off at gunpoint every time they asked for it to be returned. Not a perfect analogy, given the continuous population of the Shetland Islands since the Dark Ages and their proximity to Scotland, but perhaps something more like how the Argentinians see the issue. Not that I'm making excuses for Argentina, or even care about The Falklands. If you can call it 'Argentina', they did own it for just over 10 years, the Spanish owned it, and the British have, they are the two main people in the settlement of Falklands. What I meant is that it may very well be imperialism by the British if you so please, but then surely it is with the Argentinians too? Since it's never properly been theirs? The Channel Islands are right next to France and a channel away from Britain, but they're British. I don't care about the Falklands too much either, and like I said if they wanted to be independent i'd happily let them. But giving them to a country who they don't belong to is where I stand the line. The European population of Argentina who have never properly owned the islands calling Britain imperialistic whilst wanting some islands full of people who don't want them, not see the pot calling the kettle black?
  17. Think the main problem is Argentina are giving it the big 'imperialistic' bullshit, but they don't have a reasonable argument to owning them. The Channel Islands are closer to France than Britain, does that make them French? If the Falklands wanted independence i'd say fair enough, but why should we give them to some random nation who shouldn't have them.
  18. Got the film to watch. I understand they don't actually win anything though. Narh but to even get to the playoffs in the MLB is unbelievable for a team like that. http://content.usatoday.com/sportsdata/baseball/mlb/salaries/team That's the payrolls for last year in the MLB (not much different to back when Moneyball was first written), the A's narrowly missed out to the Yankees in the playoffs under Billy Beane. Unbelievable stuff.
  19. Don't know if anyone's mentioned it but you may want to read Moneyball Leazes. Amazing book about making the 'small market' Oakland A's MLB team competitive. Best sports book i've ever read.
  20. Well, the recipe's in my head really but I always stick in some chipotles. These are dried, smoked chillies. You can get them at Mmm... Deli in the Grainger Market as well as some supermarkets. You can also get them online at places like South Devon Chilli farm. Basically, a bit like dried porcini mushrooms, you stick them in some hot water to soften them before removing the stalks and chopping them up. Keep the juice too and throw that in. Basically what it imparts is that smoky, barbecue sauce flavour, plus extra heat. I also add cumin, dried oregano, and ground coriander. I put fresh coriander in as well. You add the fresh coriander leaves near the end of cooking but you should chop the stalks up and add them too for flavour. The stalks need to be cooked a bit longer though. I also add fresh lime juice and a bit of tequila too. Another addition is cocoa powder but go easy on it (teaspoon or two). Also, the longer you cook it the better but the beans should only be cooked for the last 15 mins or so to stop them getting mushy. I also add soy instead of salt but that's a decent tip for for any stews, soups etc. If I think of owt else, I'll let you know Got some chipotles since they sound like a excellent addition and I think I've heard you mention them before. I'm nowt special with chilli (can do a canny con carne like) so anything to make it look like I know what I'm doing is appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XNOiZfcNz0
