Just can't see Arya getting that chance, it'll be Jaime, Tyrion or a dragon, won't it? Isn't Arya more for taking out 2nd/3rd tier characters?
I think Jamie will be the one to do her in. That prophecy said that her children would die and that she would be killed by her younger sibling which could be Tyrion but it could also be Jamie as he was born after her. And with the fact that she did what Jamie had dishonored himself to prevent (killing the king to prevent him blowing up King's Landing with Dragon Fire) he would now have a reason to.

After the roaring success of my Euros thread, I thought I'd start this for what looks set to be a complete disaster. The velodrome hasn't been built, the Zika virus might kill every unborn baby in sight, the pollution in the rivers is making the Brazilian athletes ill, the defense budget has been slashed so much that a Paralympian was mugged at gun point outside of her hotel and they've just impeached their President.
I can't fucking wait to see that ginger hop, skip and jumper jump in his sand pit and land on a used needle.
You forgot to mention the shooting of an endangered species used during a torch ceremony...

Here's another (unimportant) question about that episode... but where was Ghost during the battle?
As is usual for any episode, “Battle of the Bastards” featured a wide cast of characters, both in the titular battle and elsewhere. One notable exception, though, was Jon Snow’s direwolf, Ghost. Ghost has been Snow’s fierce defender since the show’s first season, but was entirely missing from the most recent episode at a critical moment. It may seem like an oversight, but according to the episode’s director Miguel Sapochnik, there was a good reason for it.
Speaking to Business Insider, Sapochnik explained that the original plan was for Ghost to play a big role in the episode, but that was ultimately cut due to time and budgetary constraints. There was a lot of CG in “Battle of the Bastards,” but apparently Ghost was just one CG character too many:
“[Ghost] was in there in spades originally, but it’s also an incredibly time consuming and expensive character to bring to life. Ultimately we had to choose between Wun-Wun and the direwolf, so the dog bit the dust.”
Makes sense. Thank you, sir!

I wouldn't mind but he's a taxi driver ffs, he has a shit job, he doesn't even have a hack license. Taxi drivers are the most politically myopic fuckers on earth after Americans. Strangely though all the American taxi drivers I have travelled with seem alright.
Now hold on a second.... I am totally accepting of generalizations about Americans and a lot of the time agree... HOWEVER, grouping myself and the rest of my countrymen along with CT is too much and I will not stand for it!
but then again, he would probably vote for Trump is he was American...

If I ever get through Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain I will have to give this a go...

Will I be able to get into this game if I never played the first two???

Chill oot, Hank, I'm laughing at the Fish's attempt at US phrases and sentences.
Understood!

The only times I have witnessed anything like the videos above was when I travelled to Tampa for the Fort Lauderdale/Tampa Bay "derby" (rich 40 year history) and even that didn't come to blows... that was one of their drunken fans stealing one of our flags and running into the restrooms with it... real hardcore.

'At' the beginning, the fuck you think you are? Fish?
What the fuck did I do? Is it because I didn't say "Flying to England AT the beginning of July with a 9 month old... can't wait!"??? If that is the case, shouldn't be "... WHO the fuck DO you think you are?"

When does GoT air in the UK? Surprised this thread hasn't exploded yet...

This came out shortly after Sandyhook but the argument remains the same, I think...

That's actually pretty interesting. I suppose there's a few generations worth of gun support to combat really... all the killings don't seem to make much difference though, which is the only odd thing. What do you think it would take to shake people out of it?
I honestly don't know. America leads the world in mass shootings. America is one of the worst countries in gun deaths. Toddlers have killed more people by guns this year than terrorists... yet none of these (and other appearances on lists like these) seem to make any difference to a large portion of our population. Instead, they are fixated on the government interfering with their "God given rights" and trying to take something they hold valuable away. This is why I use the "young country" stance... it is like a little kid holding their toy tightly thinking that an adult is going to come and take it away from them.
Another mass shooting like Orlando will only be met with "well, if there were people there with guns this wouldn't have happened..." Boggles the mind really.

Cheer up, @@AmericanMag you're only trapped in the Victorian era.
Can't wait to reach the Edwardian Era and then things will really get going!

I'd agree with that. Britain would have been much the same a century back, and some of it still creeps into our collective consciousness...
The collective consciousness is what is keeping the gun debate going. The other night, a talking head named Bill O'Reilly tried to explain the reason that Americans still love their guns so much is because of the fact that everyone had a gun to fight for independence and that it was their guns that allowed them to expand and settle in the west. Now obviously these scenarios no longer exist but the pro-gun will use the (mis)quote from Yamamoto during WWII where he said that he would not invade the US as there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass... and on it goes.

Played throughout my youth and through my college (university) years without a scratch. Sign up for an adult league and tear my ACL in the first season... Haven't been the same since.

The USA is bordering on being a backward country. I don't know how the sane people can put up with the gun situation to be perfectly honest.
We are a backward country. Can't really deny that. We are behind on so many different areas that to think otherwise is foolish. I would argue that this is all due to being a "younger" country which isn't an excuse for the shortcomings...

Unfortunately, I think he will be pardewed... and a five year deal??? Wonder what the clause is in his new contract when/if Crystal Palace go down.
