  1. to be honest im not sure pardew would have lost that game in the second half
  2. was anyone else worrying every time tiote had the ball?
  3. after today....Carver, williamson, tiote and armstrong
  4. yeh it was a group of players that pardew had bought for him but carver has been there 4 years as well. Carver set the team up well. no complaints there. but the second half howay man. what a joke. his subs cost us the game. Long ball to perez and Armstrong
  5. As the title suggests i think carver has some explaining to do. This was a must win game for Newcastle. First half I have no complaints as we were the better team in all departments. Tactics were working. Rightly being in the lead. Second half comes along things are going ok then comes a sub, Riviere off (who was having a good game) for piss poor adam armstrong! Fair enough he is young being only 17 but he's too little to be pumping the ball up to!!! Crap decision Carver! That decision has cost him his first win and probably the shot at the job full time. Taylor getting injured didn't help the cause as if used up a sub but jesus christ Carver!
  6. Difference is they are playing well because the managers have brought in players they wanted. A director of football and scout didnt say ''heres 6 new players crack on''. they have built teams. not a group of players put together because they are cheap with potential sell on value.
  7. Pardew is an average manager who had players that hit form at the right time while other clubs were not doing so well
  8. lets look at teams that have tried to play decent football ans failed West Brom 2010 - relegated QPR 2013 - Relegated Wigan 2013 - relegated norwich 2013 relegated Birmingham 2012 relegated
  9. That is our place under Ashley. Newcastle should aim to finish between 7th and 12th every season under MA. I never said be happy with it. Under the restrictions this is it
  10. Makes the fish bite. thats what it does He's a grafter - i like that.
  11. look at the stature of the clubs and what they achieved playing effective football. everton finished 4th and were never in any danger of getting relegated, didnt spend much money either, palace should have been relegated but stayed up, bolton finished 8th and looked like a solid team, villa finished 6th twice playing on the counter, newcastle punted the ball up to carroll and nolan under houghton and it worked. effective football gets results! we are never going to be a team that plays entertaining football under Ashley so there is no point trying and failing. Would be better off getting a down to earth manager that knows the game and can set the team out to play an effective game
  12. mate get real - hes probably one of our best players
  13. Everton under moyes Palace and stoke under Pulis Bolton under Big sam Newcastle under Houghton Villa under O'neill Effective football - not entertaining
  14. I'd pick number 2 Also i never said bad i said poor as in poor entertainment
  15. the point i am trying to make is..... 1) poor (boring) football can grind out results 1-0 or get a draw when we would usually get beat getting earning a 7th place finish by getting points we would usually miss out on Flip side 2) play good (entertaining) football but get beat 4-3 or 3-2 in games we should be winning or drawing dropping points trying to score more goals instead of wrapping the game up. ive seen games where we have been 1-0 up chase a second goal but end up drawing 1-1. Thus finishing 11th Which one would you pick?
  16. this scenario doesnt involve pardew or any other manager. it was a choice between playing good football or getting into europe
  17. I'll be there with my palace top on i have no faith in carver to be honest. I hope we play 4-4-2. match them man for man and get the win
  18. would you prefer poor style of football but managing a 7th place finish sneaking into the Europa league or great attacking play but poor at the back resulting in a 10th place finish
  19. Accepted Mr Fish! However, the way you post those players is suggesting pardew had those to his disposal over the 4 years which he never. yeh pardews tactics needed to change from 4-2-3-1. every football fan in england must know how newcastle are going to line up and play each weekend. yes pardew does have to take responsibility and change things up but players have to take responsibility too
  20. Sissoko played out of possition last season - pardews fault Tiote and Cisse are experienced players that should be able to movtivate themselves and find their own form. they are senior sqaud players not huffy teenagers. no excuse for me. Should have sold tiote in the summer
  21. Cabella has talent thats clear - i seen a stat that said he created the most chances at one point in the season. BUT he is not the complete package - he doesnt track back- look at the goal we conceded against sunderland. he was jogging back, he can come on in the 88th minute (should have been sooner) and didnt bust a gut to get back and get the ball off johnson. Newcastle cant play with 10 men like under SBR where we could carry players like Robert, HBA and Cabella. Even against everton he come on - did relatively well but why didnt he square the ball to riviere for a tap in? decision making lads? have to question it
  22. Pardew doesnt buy his players. We have a Carr who i think is excellent by the way and a director of football that does the business. you cant seriously think pardew was wrong to drop cabella and Riviere and offload hba? Remember who sees the players on the training ground. Mbiwa wasnt performing either to be fair. he needs time to get used to the EPL. Has anyone given credit to pardew for Perez perfoming? obertan finding form? Abied coming along and looking like a better footballer than tiote? Aarons being protected and brought in finding form before getting injured? Give credit where its due lads.
