    like a fucking yoyo beardsley.

was a sensational signing by cox out of nowhere and a privilege to watch him in that promotion season playing along side keegan.

tarnished things with his move to liverpool and waving to the kop while still playing for us.

came back and was once again magnificent to watch with keegan as his manager.

went way beyond 'tarnish' subsequently though by turning in to a massive ashley sycophant as well as a bit of a racist bully towards kids.

will never forget his hat trick against the mackems on new years day a couple of months after signing, shame really that the latter stuff nullifies it a bit. well, for me anyway.   :(

I was at Anfield that day he waved to the Kop after we lost 2:0 i think. Not good to see but still a big favourite in my early days watching Newcastle, one of the best to ever wear the shirt.

Oh well. Did well to come back but that was still very concerning how we fell apart at home again.

That Murphy chance in the end man... Really should have scored.

If Burn starts again it'll be the first time I start questioning Howe. It's the most obvious thing in football right now that he's a complete liability.

He was brought as a back up centre back and that is the most he should be, fukin criminal that Liveramento is left out for him, howe needs his headshaking.

I think he might be sacked tbh. I really hope it's not the case, but stranger things have happened

I would not rule it out. it would be a bit ruthless after what he has done in the last 2 years but the saudis I would think would want top 6 as a minimum, the next month is huge.

Another game, another nightmare performance from Almiron costing us. The selection of Burn is also a factor in their goal, Livramento would have been closer to Elanga.

Howe needs his fucking head shaking, starting burn instead of liveramento, he is being torn apart down that wing.

first time i visited was in 86 to watch the team v arsenal , i was 18 and then started to go to many games after that . hiding and avoiding the train ticket inspector all the way from peterborough. happy days.  Also remember the arsenal team travelled back on the same train with the general public although they had a separate carriage!

Almiron is absolutely fucking painful to watch. Decided to cover the back pass rather than get goal side of his player, who then dribbled down the whole pitch and won a corner which they scored from, misses chance after chance - not by a small margin either, and never wins the fucking ball. Can we just buy a fucking right winger?

stick liveramento there, anything is an upgrade on almiron, if almiron has to play, then its on the left or not at all, preferably the latter!

Bloody hell  It's the right call imo but it's still a bit of a shock. If they dont win this Ten Hag absolutely needs sacking.

Think its a poor choice by Howe to be honest, we have 0 chance of winning the champions league or premier league, we have won fuck all since 69 and this easily our best chance of a trophy.  I think he should have gone a lot stronger.

"4 years ago, I wore the Newcastle jersey for the first time. At that moment, I hadn’t realized that not only was I about to become a Newcastle player, but I was also about to become a Geordie.

You might think « nice Goodbye message » but the sentiment runs deeper than any words I could say, from the very first months that I met the people of this city, I truly understood them and embraced their unwavering passion, which is why it was so important for me to give my all and if this meant to play injured or even not making statistics, I didn’t give a shiy as long as it would help my team.

Believe me, I fell for Newcastle, I had great opportunities to leave during dark days, but that was too late I was already in love, I wanted, I needed, I had to stay for helping my team to save the club from Premier League relegation because it meant the world for me.

Of course during those dark days some may have had their doubts, but I always believed in this club and look where we are today, it's just so beautiful. I'm leaving Newcastle as it should always have been and that's my greatest trophy because I was a part of it.

A deep thank you to ALL of you, my team mates, the loyal fans, the staff, the Club, etc… I’ve seen all your messages, thank you and even though this chapter has ended, the story never stops. Newcastle is home now, I'll continue to be your biggest supporter, I'll watch every game and as long as the club keeps winning I'll be the happiest man in the world… and for sure you will see me again I love you,

I love you sincerely, I love you like a Geordie brother. Once a Geordie, always a Geordie."

massive respect tp him for those words. The only shining light we had times under Bruce. Wish him all the best.

So, I had to leave my TV on 58 minutes to go and collect my son from cadets. Some people would be really bitter and twisted about missing the remaining 4 goals. I am one of those people.

mate, I got stuck in traffic in a fucking garden centre and missed the first half against spuds, my son kept txting me the score and i thought he was winding me up
