ah now i get you.
-
not sure if i'm reading that right. the whole point is so that the new signings can play in the CWC. saw this on twitter. not sure we're going to spend almost as much on Livramento as we do on the other 3 new names in that. Livra to City is a non starter in my eyes. Cherki looks like a mix of David Silva and KDB in his highlight video. can't be right at 30m
-
yep negotiations will continue and then get signed later. but some will happen sooner. think the window would have opened on the 6th but they brought it forward to help the CWC teams. i think fifa only allow the window to be open for a fixed number of days hence them shutting it again for a few days. all a bit daft just make an exception and leave it open. no one cares.
-
sorry but to be honest i'm not even sure what he looks like. not dissing him, i just only pay attention to city. hence i know little about Reindeer, Cherki, Ait-Nouri. fairly sure he's white and english and was injured for a while
-
it was just an example of how the window could affect you. All City's players, and all your players are available for the right price. every one, but i agree, i think he would be too expensive.
-
You say that but lets say Livramento to City had legs. That might be pre CWC which could trigger activity for you.
-
slightly different this year due to the CWC window CWC clubs will want to get business done by June 10th. That might have a knock on effect. For instance if you were competing with us for a player you'd have to work to the same deadline. Wirtz being an example, Flushed Liverpool out.
-
we'll make that back on christmas jumpers
-
I'm very happy about that. Only recently linked too which is nice.
-
no idea what city's valuation of florian wirtz was but i suspect we thought we could negotiate a much lower fee than is being demanded. and we walked away. the rest is spin imo. looks like Reijnders for £46.3m is more reasonable. With Cherki and Ait-Nouri to follow hopefully. A much needed midfield refresh. who are you're likely ins and outs?
-
for what its worth, i think you guys might follow a similar model to us. but modified somehow. there were noises about that early in your takeover. if so you'll decide what a player is worth to you and walk away if the selling club wants more than your valuation.

i think 69 is the minimum if chelsea and forest draw then 67 would do it on goal difference. as it stands... Arsenal: 68 (+33) - Newcastle (H), Southampton (A) Newcastle: 66 (+23) - Arsenal (A), Everton (H) Man City: 65 (+24) - Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A) Chelsea: 66 (+20) - Nottingham Forest (A) Aston Villa: 66 (+9) - Man Utd (A) Nottingham Forest: 62 (+12) - West Ham (A), Chelsea (H) prediction Newcastle 72 - win both thus arsenal losing a 2 horse race. Arsenal 71 - beat southampton City 69 - win one, draw one Chelsea 69 - win last game. Villa 69 - win last game Forest 65 - lose to Chelsea chores done now to focus on today.
-
yeah but did anyone ever offer him 2 whole pork pies....
-
revised my dream Arsenal: 68 (+33) - Newcastle (H), Southampton (A) Newcastle: 66 (+23) - Arsenal (A), Everton (H) Man City: 65 (+24) - Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A) Chelsea: 63 (+19) - Man Utd (H), Nottingham Forest (A) Aston Villa: 63 (+7) - Tottenham (H), Man Utd (A) Nottingham Forest: 62 (+12) - West Ham (A), Chelsea (H) Newcastle 72 - win both Arsenal 71 - beat southampton City 71 - win both Chelsea 69 - win both. Villa 69 - win both Forest 65 - lose to Chelsea

think i posted this elsewhere. there's no guarantee we win our last 3. well we drew the easiest of the 3 on saturday. i worry that haaland makes us worse. he's proven himself an amazing goalscorer but i like it when we have no clear focal point so it's not clear where the threat is. what crazy worries we have these days. as long as we finish in a CL spot i'll be delighted if you guys finish second. less about you, more about arsenals bottle tag.
-
hush your dirty mouth
-
There's only one City, all others are just pale imitations
-
maybe that's why Arteta thinks Arsenal were the best in Europe this year. he may be placing less emphasis on goals scored and more on the amount of curtseys he does?
-
this is pretty much why i hate modelling data. i can be a little obsessive with perfection. let me just tweak the model and run it through again.
-
when Saka missed that chance i had horrific flashbacks of Sterling doing the same for us
-
a penny for the thoughts of those arsenal players. probably think what an absolute goon
-
I fit in the first sentence not the second. Also not understanding what qualifies as expected and what doesn't is quite simply due to lack of interest. It's like if the wife talks to me about curtains, there's a bored glaze. For what it's worth my degree, way back in 88, was Maths. I deliberately avoided stats units and focused on other stuff like game theory and quantum mechanics. Silly really as stats is probably the most useful unit.
-
i'm gonna be honest, i don't even know what xG means. I know it stands for expected goals but it doesn't hold my interest for long enough for me to learn how its worked out.

sorry i checked bluesky and whilst bluecitybrain is on there he hasn't posted in a while. lots and lots of charts or i'd cut and paste for you
