just been reading up on Maceo Rigters who certain media people have linked us with :-
Maceo Rigters joined NAC Breda from second division Dordrecht on a four-year deal in January 2005 as a replacement for Ali Boussaboun, who was heading to Feyenoord on a free transfer that summer. Rigters had just scored eight goals in 17 games for Dordrecht and with only two other games under his belt for Heerenveen the previous season, his signing represented something of a gamble. He played just five games for Breda in his first half-season and scored two goals in 24 games in 2005/6, with 17 of those appearances coming off the bench. He was also sidelined for a time before Christmas with a knee injury. Ritgers appears to be another Breda frontman who could be put in the promising category but whose ability to ultimately to deliver must be in serious doubt. New coach Ernie Brandts' side looked short of goals entering the 2006/7 season and the youngster has shown little to suggest that he might be the prolific scorer that the Eredivisie strugglers were looking for.

So Roeder wants to single out certain people and criticise them for failing to do their job properly? If thats the way he wants to be I hope Fat Freddy gets him into the office this morning and tells him a few truths about the shit job that he is doing...
Hypocritical bastard..
Well, he should work on his motivation skills if he wants happy people around him. Just blaming everyone but himself won't help...
Too fukin right is that not his job !!..to motivate the players ? ...we,ve never had anyone since KK that could motivate the squad.. I said this years ago we either have the wrong personnel or the manager cant motivate what he,s got.
-
Boils me piss... the thought of him sitting for best part of a season with us struggling and paying him 55k a week.. we wouldnt risk him and he,s supposed to be mended, as has been said what happens if he gets injured and we dont have for the next season are we just acting as a health service for the national team..?
PRO,S:- Itll get him match fit (will it matter this late in the season to us)
CONS:- he could get injured and we have to pick up the bill and do with out him again.
Anyway do think he,s gonna make much difference, he,s still going to be surrounded by shite and I think were expecting an awful lot out the feller..?

Get rid and pull out all the stops to bring Woodgate in instead.
Aye no comparrison to the likes of Woodgate, maybe not even to the likes of Wes Brown tbh.
Would love to see Woody back at the toon he was always solid and great at marshalling the back four but do you think he,ll leave Boro his boyhood team..? I thought Moore was off back to OZ at the end of the season anyway..?
Bramble...who,s gonna buy him off us..?
-
Apart from a few bollocks yesterday I think he did well with some important tackles seems a lot more stable than bramble.
-
For me I would have Roeder out this week, but I am aware of the 'voices of reason' saying end of season and perhaps they have a point. My main worry is that if Roeder isn't sent packing now FS won't start looking for another manager till the summer and probably leave it too late as usual.
On a side issue all this waiting for Shearer lark which is the worst kept secret plan 'A'..doesn't really bear up as he hasn't even finished his 'A' badge yet to go for the Uefa Pro 'B' license..So I'm esitmating Shearer is two years away at least.
Out now or wait till later?
Big Al was asked the question at the Fed about taking over and he said it was,nt the right time for him, he still had stuff he wanted to do, but he said possibly sometime in the future .

There's no such thing as a reliable tip in the national . I think it'll be between last years winners again, simply because last year's won so convincingly, and Hedgehunter is always up there, and Ruby Walsh is a man of top form.
Can't see Dun Doire doing much, can't understand why his odds are so short.
"There's no such thing as a reliable tip in the national"
Yep couldnt agree more with any field that size its little more than a cavalry charge... favourites get brought down by donkeys or buffeted out of contention... You pays your money and takes your chance
