Seb Larsson £1.5m bid Accepted - Apparently

Disappointing as he'd of provided quality service for the big man. Let's be honest though...he was on 10k and wanted to at least double his wages coming here. We don't want that kinda ego in the dressing room. Clearly didn't want to be part of what we are doin here. Let's just see if they can find someone better. Another unknown African with tilted commitment but with a bit of guile would be nice. -

At RM who else would you go for? Theres not a great deal out there tbh. -
We will win 3-1. This will be the team which starts... ---Harper--- ---Simpson---Willo---Colo---Enrique--- ---Routledge---Barton---Nolan---Jonas--- ---Carroll---Strola--- Carroll, Nolan ans Barton to score. 1-1 at half time...3-1 to us at the final whistle.

Likely to play on the right if he's fit. Could play in th dcm role too. Tidy, good passer and solid in a tackle as well as having a decent strike on him...just not the quickest.

Well yeah he is. I like him and his energy and ability to run with the ball, it relieves the pressure on defence. Once again tho his final ball is letting him down and is in serious danger of losing his place. If an offer of around 5-6mil came in now or at end of season is let him go. Him and Colo. -

Iv always rated him and he will be a quality signing. Our attack would be VERY tasty indeed! ---Ben Arfa---Carroll--- ---Jonas---Tiote---Barton---Larsson--- Strength, Ariel ability, power, pace and trickery from our front two, and pace, grit, guile and technical ability from midfield. Seriously Seriously strong attacking side. If we can bring in another LM at end of the season to offer something different other than Jonas on the left, or another striker allowing Ben Arfa to play down the left then we really will have a quality team...or the foundations to a quality team. -
Match thread guys. On topic though...Would you be happy with Seb Larsson and a striker? But who?
-
He's told sky... "I certainly need one but we are working on the idea that we can get two in. "We had no Andy Carroll, no Shola Ameobi, our two top strikers, and we didn't retain the ball up top at all well. "That was a problem for us. Fingers crossed that at least one of those, if not both of those, are back next week and that we add to the squad too. So going from that and interest in Bentley and Larsson, he's looking at a striker and a right midfielder? Probably the correct two positions to bring in more quality. I'd like a third though...maybe another loan move for a LB as cover?

He's shit. End of.

Fuck Off. I dont need to justify myself to anyone but once more for the record...I hate FMA as much as the next man...I just dont see why you and many others jump on Pardews back so soon. Sad really. Get a grip. Well, it's the question if the manager should criticise players in public. Imho it's man managment at its worst tbh. Ferguson does it. http://www.gloryunited.info/4810/2010/08/2...g-silly-points/ You've just heard that a manager shouldnt criticise his players in public and as it sounds like a reasonable thing, now hold it as a form of truth. The reality is that you arent qualified to understand the motivational dynamics at play. Speaking as a manager of people i'd say 'bollocks' to that claim 'it depends on the individual'. Anyway, lets look again at what he said rather than examining the notion of player criticism. 'A few young boys got caught out'. If you deem that language as potentially damaging to player morale, i'd have to question your motives for saying that. This sort of patronising arrogance is wasted on me tbh. Wasted on you as your the narrow minded fool who cant see BOTH sides. Chez is correct and you know it.

Some ppl as always over reacting....its laughable really.

I agree...has a evident dislike to us but even he said the sending off was wrong. "If thats a sending off then young defenders now, hang up your boots"
-
Regardless of how the game used to be played and how it is played now...from a footballing point of view...should tiote of been sent off?
-

My point was simply the fact that it's ridiculous to single out the so-called younger lads for criticism. Learning curve...character building....if they cant handle it then they can fuck off. Seriously....from some puff on here commenting about tiotes tackle and now this...football seriously is turning into a game for queens who might develop an inferiority complex. Do you feel the younger lads deserved to be singled out for criticism? Especially with the manager's dreadful tactics and clear inability to motivate a bunch of experienced (and in Smith's case ridiculously overpaid) players. He needs to look closer to home than to criticise a couple of young lads who weren't any worse than the experienced players. Ok so... He criticised a few younger ones who would of been Ranger and Krul and also stated that the likes of Nolan, Barton Colo and Routledge (All senior players) were well below standard. Imo pretty must stated the whole team were poor and stopped short of sayin HE got it wrong and lets be honest although he did, how many managers actually come out with that?

It was stupid. A red card was harsh, but a fraction of second later and the Stevenage player could easily have been looking for a new a career. After the huge fuss that was made about De Jong’s tackle (he got the ball too) on Ben Arfa any complaints about Titoe’s sending off are on weak ground. No doubt the hypocrisy on Nobs Online will be breathtaking. Either you've not played the game OR your talking shit... Im a CM and that there was a legendary tackle...he didnt go over the ball, wasnt two footed nor was it studs up....it looked reckless because the angle he went into the tackle but for the technique of tackling that was 100%. Nothing wrong in it at all. Your opinion is pish. Obviously not a very good one. What position do you play then? Goalkeeper? Seriously fella........that was a good tackle and i dont see how its otherwise. Perhaps at the level of football you play, or fifteen years ago in the professional game. Today though it was the kind of challenge that gives the referee the option of waving red. Personally I preferred the more robust version of the game but nowadays any lunge, no matter how well timed, is a potential red card. It was a stupid challenge; the best CM’s in the family friendly version of football don’t go to ground unless there’s is no other option. They anticipate and think. They weigh up the pros and cons and make intelligent decisions. In this instance they probably would have looked to cover the space the lad was running into, not jump in with all guns blazing. Tiote is a hothead, as his booking per game ratio shows. Good player, but it was only a matter of time before he got sent off. First bold....Dont patronise me...football is football whatever the level... Second bold...Aye i agree in essence...the modern game or should i say the modern governing body doesnt like these decisions because they are just that...decisions...and hard ones at that. But this is something that should be addressed. Any self respecting FOOTBALL fan knows how the game used to be played, how it still SHOULD be played and that THAT was a perfect tackle! Third bold...You backtracking and agreeing with me then? With respect, your opinion of a modern CM dropping off into the space, reading the game differently is also pish....when your 2 foot from a guy and have the chance to win the ball...you win the ball...simples. I really cant see where your coming from here....i like you are a newcastle fan but come on mate....look at it again...and again...and again until your brain clicks and you see that your actually talking shite.......want bet that the red card is recinded???? To be fair you’re the one who seems to think playing CM for some pub team / non league team makes you Helenio Herrera, which is as patronising as it misguided. A bet? OK, if Tiote’s red card is rescinded I’ll close my account on here. If it’s not you close yours. And you call the shots how? Lets make it monetry...£20? So serious ma'man so serious its laughable.

What? Are you a man? Are they men? Aye...grow a set and man up ffs. Criticism is just and it doesnt matter if its dished in public or in private...its what the fans are thinking. These are well paid young men...on those wages they can fuckin handle it.
-
Piss poor analysis, and if the worst happens next week it'll be comical listening to that drivel again. Fuck Off. He was honest. What did you want him to say? ffs.
-
See, again, i am a pardew fan but this does annoy me about a manager. If he had put out the "youngsters" and we done beat then fair enough he could of said that...albeit still bollox. We are 3 leagues above. We played a pretty strong team tonight and like its been said we were done...stevenage...sadly were the better team on the night, but hey ho its the FA Cup and this happens every year. Get over it.
