And I expect the declaration on your SA to be at least £45k based on you paying yourself £25k pa, working on the logic that you need tools, petrol, phone, premises, vehicle, petty cash etc etc then thats a fair enough valuation. I was going to offer a helping hand on your site once you'd paid up but frankly business is booming so my fees a grand. Its tax deductible of course. While i understand that we should not be bringing in a striker as a panic buy to appease us fans. That is NO excuse. They have had since January to find a striker. There should of been at least 5 on a shortlist of which at least one should of signed. The simple reason why we didnt get a striker in is the same reason we never got Cissokho or Pieters.......Penny pinching. I am happy with the players we have brought in and feel they will do well. Especially Cabaye, Marveaux and Santon but once again we are left short upfront. They obviously have thought that the strike force that done us last season would suffice this season too, so striker to them a new striker wasnt as important to them as it is to us. They are doing exactly what they have been doing since they have been here. Gambling. "Lets make last minute bids that we know wont be accepted to look like we tried when really we can gamble and hope the current crop of strikers will get us by without spending" This after Chez's post last night makes sense. Clearly seems to me that he is getting by on the minimum amount of expenditure, gambling on us staying in the PL (which we will) whilst increasing profit and lowering running costs. If I've read it right, he (potentially) set up a company (SJH) to buy the club, then loaned the company in question the money in order to buy NUFC. SJH then directly owns the club but owes MA the money. By reducing costs and turning a profit NUFC / SJH can then repay Ashley the money over a period of time. The net result being that (if it goes to plan) MA will get back all the money he paid out to buy the club, in effect getting it for nowt. It's not so much selling off assets (although Carroll would fit into that) it's more that the overall operating costs are less than the money coming in over a long enough period of time. Understood perfectly. So how does all this fit into what the club said about breaking even after this season? Does that mean SJH/FMA has got his 138mil back or that the club itself is running at break even? Has there been anything to suggest monies have been paid to SJH?

Make do with what we have, see if the strikers up their games to prove a point and enjoy watching our "new look team" gel and play some great football. Be positive man. Re-assess in January. I now expect at least 5 goals from each of Shola, Best and Ba come the new year. A few from midfield from Cabaye, Jonas, Marveaux and Tiote. Maybe a couple from Tayls and Colo. Thats a 25 man squad with a pretty strong, attacking side with a few question marks on fitness to Barfa, Marveaux and Ba. Older heads on the bench and in reserve and young lads pushing to make a mark. I would like to think AP will set down a challenge to all the strikers to stand up and make an impression. Come January whoever isnt cutting it can go and the club really REALLY need a overhaul upfront then. Hopefully Ba, Best and Shola can all get the goals we need. All have shown to be in and around 10 goals per season strikers. Barfa is going to have to contribute heavily in goals from the hole. 10+ again. I think we will be alright. Re-assess in January. I actually think come then we will be about 8th.
