  1. Last camped in 2009 to see Faith No More, went on the Sunday last year - the layout of the arena isn't terrible, but trek to and from it is a pain, particularly when the weathers been bad, although they've improved it since they first moved it in 2008

The fact the the lineup is normally so uninspired bar a couple of bands is the main reason I probably won't bother again, particularly when there are a whole bunch of other festivals across Europe that always have line ups I much prefer, that said it was always great fun when I went.

  2. Coincidently I brought a ticket for Damnation festival in Leeds today.

Not sure I'll bother with Download this year, the undercard normally leave a lot to be desired, and the layout now is by far the worst of any festival I've been to. I'll probably end up going to Hellfest in France again this year, as it's always the bestest thing ever.

  3. Apparently he is a believer in homeopathy. Just what the NHS needs in cash strapped times, being led by a man who believes in magic.

Just came here to post that too. Sounds like the new Equality minister Maria Miller is also ironically lacking in her new field.

  4. Aye Hoy will be a huge miss at the next Olympics. That race was incredible cos when the German went past him I thought he was beat and he just came roaring back. Absolutely immense.

He'll be missed as he's clearly an absolute beast, but we'll continue to do well without him. The cycling setup GB have is great as the last few years have shown. Jason Kenny's already come up and taken Hoy's spot in the individual sprint and won it with ease, and the rest of the team is in great shape breaking records all the time whilst still young.

  5. That was only one event of the 6, the others are a lot easier to follow. The points race is normally pretty good to watch, but as they scrapped in in favour of doing 6 different disciplines it made it a bit of a mess because a lot of the riders now involved aren't endurance cyclists so none of them really wanted to take turns at the front or press very much and it was dominated by a few. Having said that, it is normally a bit mad anyway!
