1. Exactly, we're okay in midfield and in Duff, Solano and Emre, we've got players who can really create something. The question is whether Shola can get himself into the right positions if he plays up front on his own.
2. For the record, I don't think Kuyt will score that many for Liverpool. At best I think he will get between 10 and 12 goals, and that's if he starts most of their games. He seems to have other qualities though, so will do a good job for them.
3. The bit about Klose is ridiculous, it's just not going to happen.
4. Any chance public knowledge means the same thing to Dutch journalists as in the UK? ie. PeashePud made it up and they all copied it... 180325 To be honest, I think it's quite obvious that Roeder could have saved himself the pointless trips to Holland and Dublin to watch Kuyt if he'd made a few phone calls. Both the Feyenoord chairman and the player himself have made it quite clear that he was never going to come to us. So much for thorough research and 'wanting to know what a player has for his breakfast' - what happened to finding out if the player was interested in joining us in the first place?

Its Friday!

6 hours to go, I can't wait.
6. It's been said before, but we really should have signed Hasselbaink. We could do with him now.
7. I think I'd like us to go 4-4-2 tomorrow, with either Luque, Milner, Duff or Emre playing off Shola. I just don't think Shola can play the lone striker role effectively.
8. With two weeks left of the transfer window I imagine that'll be how Glen is identifying his targets. 179881 If the story is true, our interest in the player would surely collide with Roeder's statement that he's only looking at proven players from big leagues? Aren't Zenit St Petersburg loaded anyway? I don't think they need the money, which means we would be paying over the odds. Again.
9. As has been said, the article is completely embarrassing. The sentence above is basically Shepherd telling us via his mouthpiece that we won't be getting anyone in.
10. I've only just read that Carr injured himself last night and won't be fit for Saturday. Ramage at right-back then? Great...
11. I was thinking the same thing - the Bellamy factor and the fact that they've got themselves a potentially devastating strike duo makes it all even worse. To be quite honest, I hope Bellamy goes back to being injured as often as Owen is.
12. What a joke. 179583 Not a very funny one though. 179585 Certainly not. The fact that Liverpool have Bellamy & Kuyt while we have a crocked Owen and Shola is pissing me off.
13. The Kuyt clip 179451 Says it all really.
14. I'm extremely pessisimistic about our chances of getting in a striker before the end of the month. Imagine going into the season with Shola as our only striker, it doesn't bear thinking about.
15. yep 179317 And anal had us linked to sign him 15 minutes later. 179428 Well during the club's research and scouting of Heerenveen they must have come across the player's potential. We should've spent our time watching him a few years ago and could've signed him for less than the £6m Ajax spent on him. 179445 Our scouting system must be a shambles. The only good player discovered in recent years is N'Zogbia.
16. I'm the same, I'm hoping for a good performance and a convincing win, but if we go behind, I can see us struggling.
17. Apparently it doesn't even hurt when you die by being torn apart by a bomb on a plane, so what's the fuss about anyway?
18. I'd love it if we got him instead of Liverpool, simply to piss off all the Liverpool-loving 'experts' who were crying about Owen joining us last year.
19. Fat Fred playing Champ Man again, great. You could have thought that the purchases of Luque, Kluivert, Butt and Viana may have convinced him that it may be better to leave transfers up to his managers...
