Makes you wonder how other players would perform in Spain, not saying its a bad league but their style may be more succesful over there.
Shola has no pace but is fairly strong (some will laugh but he can be, I remember Sol Campbell saying how much of a handful he was against Arsenal once due to his physical nature
).Ok he still can't pass, shoot or stay onside but he might be a bit better over there is players like Colocinni are up to the physical challenge.

We aren't at the top of the league, we are at the bottom.
At this end of the table a draw is good enough. Don't get me wrong a win in our situation would be outfuckingstanding, but a draw is still valuable.
The mackems are at home to ManYoo, so realistically no points for them.
Boro play Hull. Hopefully a point for each. But no disaster if Boro win.
Portsmouth could pull themselves away with a home win against WBA and you would expect them to do just that.
So our real rivals (Hull and mackems) both have difficult fixtures.
This fixture is shaping up to mirror the Brum away game last season. A good performance and at least a point would be a step in the right direction.

The reserves aren't even the 'reserves' most of the time now. It's just the kids unless a player is coming back from injury or whatever.

I sort of agree with the sentiment in that I was having a go at people for getting on Colo's back after the mistake. However, people weren't getting on his back before that mistake, which was a horrendous one, especially for someone with his experience. Bramble never got a rough ride off the fans here either. And he hasn't been brilliant at Wigan either. He's done well (not yesterday like) there but he had a few purple patches here too. The next calamitous error is always round the corner because his lapses in concentration will always be costly.

I couldn't care how much money he's on. All I care about is we've a manager and one who not only knows the club but is a Geordie. Finally one of our own, someone to lead this club. I've a really good feeling about this, I think bringing Ian Dowie along is a master stroke. I cannot wait for Saturday !!
