Is it just me, or does any one else think owen has lost a couple of yards of his pace. Yetserday he seemed slow to react to nearly every ball that came to him and it didn't look like he could burst past defenders the way he used too.

been well documented about this.... due to his bad hamstrings in the same way Giggs lost a bit of his n all, just injuries take their toll's, cause before all those injuries he was lightning, same with Bellers too.... he isn't as fast as he used to be but still does have that electrifying pace

people say Ronaldo has lost his pace too... but i disagree with them, it's just due to injuries he now conserves his energy but when he has to move he still goes like shit off a stick... goal vs Roma last season being a prime example

We'll not see OWen at his best until the manager gets the team playing with width and better passing to provide Owen the space to make his perfectly timed runs and get the ball played to him when he does.

He may not be as lightning fast as when he first arrived in football but he's still a pacy striker who we should be getting so much more out of.

yup and Emre can provide those "eye of the needle passes" just Wigan also played very deep yesterday due to them being under the cosh in the 2nd half and their centre halves being slow so he was never gonna get a crack yesterday really to get in behind and show his pace
