British based search engine

Used to use thisone as it had uk based result; google is too full of american junk results.

 

HOwever they were sold on to a us based company (part of google I think)

 

and now the searches have gone down hill in usefulness.

 

 

Anyone know a uk or european based search engine?

You know that the UK based search engines will be submitting data to GCHQ, who will be in turn passing it on to the Americans, right?

 

Surely you're wanting something like Tor anyway. Why not try that?
