  1. Didn't go missing last night. Would have been motm but for Taylor.

Team should be geared towards giving him the ball at every opportunity.

I don't think kicking the ball towards the bench would be very creative for us.

  2. Despite being gash against Stoke, he still scored the winner. A striker's paradox - if they do nothing all game and score, is it worse than playing well and not scoring?

I'd take that all day long! As I say, if he finds the net, I can forgive poor performances within that. He does have the uncanny ability to score when it doesn't look likely.

  3. Looking at the last few games he has come on the last few months. Very important goals.

Apart from his goal against Stoke, didn't he have an absolute shocker? But as long as he starts finding the net as he has done recently, I can put up with the odd poor performance from him.

  4. So when you have a fully fit midfield and attack of Cabaye, Tiote, Sissoko, Guffroun, Ben Arfa and Cisse, just where does Marveaux fit in other then a useful sub? And even when Ben Arfa is out, Jonas seems to be preferred. Agreed he has the ability to change a game and has done so on our last two occasions, but he goes missing for long periods. I can't see him breaking into first team action in the PL unless we get a a list of injuries or suspensions.

  5. Anyone that can pick up a language so quickly impresses me. I've been with my French girlfriend for over 8 years and I still can't speak French. I can kiss French but thats it! Has Cisse been interviewed then speaking English?

  6. I think he is much improved since his return from the ACN. Had a pretty drab first half of the season but now back to being a workhorse for us. He will always have disciplinary problems though.

So casually taken, brilliant goal. With Cisse's reputation, I immediately suspected him to be offside but great play all round and a deserved win. Shame we had to needlessly give away that pen otherwise a 2 goal win would have taken us to 11th.

  8. Perch gets far too much stick on here for me. He's nowhere near as bad as he's made out to be, people are still judging him on those horrific performances he put in when we first signed him at right-back.

I was just about to say the same. Before Pardew came in, he was bordering on useless, but Pardew has made a difference to his game and he rarely puts a foot wrong. Its not often either any of his passes go astray. Not a flash player but reliable and dependable.
