The bottom line is we are back in the big league, big fees, big (er) stars, bigger agents, bigger wages etc. Ashley will not want Hughton to take all that on and knows himself and Llambias cant.
Hughton also comes across as the type who would rather be out there coaching than negogiating with Agents.
As Alex mentioned other clubs have good CEO's that handle this. He wont sack Llambias so the next best option is too appoint a new CEO but call him a director of football.

Is it just me or do Saturday 3 o'clock kick offs seem to attract a slightly better class of fan? I've been surrounded by arseholes almost every evening game we've had but on a Saturday there are never as many.
The whole "your support is fucking shit" malarky is just cringeworthy tbh so fans of a club thats in administration have travelled half way across the country on a cold January night are shit?
As for the charver elements, its starting to really creep in. Last night there was a gang of teenagers (both lads and lasses) who moved themselves from the West side of the Leazes to the North East Corner, they were clearly trying to avoid the stewards and just took themselves a group of about a dozen seats at the back, no interest in the game at all.
Word for word what I said to me fatha.
There was a lad (again a right charva. Never seen him at a match before or since.) who started jumping up and down singing "Your support is fucking shit!" to the Plymouth fans when we hosted them earlier in the season. Thankfully nee fucker joined in but he was going for a good 2/3 minutes on his lonesome
The charvas are usually doing community service on a Saturday afternoon hence not as many at the game, either that or robbing houses.

According to danish site, bold.dk, News Of The World today brings a story about Newcastle, along with Middlesbrough, Swansea and Crystal Palace, showing interest in english left back, Adam Eckersley. In 2006 he went from Man Utd to Brøndby, but for the last year and a half, he have been playing for 1. division side AC Horsens in Denmarkl. He's out of contract in the summer.
I don't remember him setting the danish premiership alight, and he's is now playing in the second tier, which doesn't at all compare to the championship.
Well that fits our recruitement profile perfectly cheap and shite.

Starting a new club should be the very last resort only taken when all is totally lost (stadium sold, further relegations, god forbid renaming the club itself etc). As bad as things are at the moment, it could still be a lot worse. We still have a decent-ish team, are in a good position for promotion (and therefore hopefully more likely to be sold next season) and we still have a fantastic stadium (whatever it's called) and history.
Starting a new club would be far too drastic a measure at this point and in any case who's to say that by the time it has crawled up from the lower leagues back to the big time that another Ashley figure wouldn't have taken over anyway?
"We still have decent-ish team" dont know what team you have been watching, my feeling is that we are just slightly less shit than the rest of the league. When everyone is hoping for Shola to get fit it shows how far we have fallen, reality check we are shit with a yes man as manager and a cunt of an owner.
