  1. For fuck's sake.

So according to the brain donors in this thread, what's the point in researching anything? Why learn anything new about how the universe works. The close-mindedness and ignorance is incredible, if something doesn't have an immediate real world application then it's worthless? Maybe we should go back and tell anyone involved in scientific research, ever, that they're wasting their time.

If you're too dumb to comprehend the articles move on.

If your too dumb to explain the articles, move along.

    My point proven.

  3. The ancestry visa is great, and after the five years you can apply for permanent residence. But my biggest advice? While London is a great place and a fun place to live, it'll cost you everything you earn. And then some if you're not careful. I did agency work for years, albeit in healthcare, but it can be tough considering there are times you never know if you'll have work the next week. Again, in London, that can be a killer.

I've been here for almost six (!) years and have had far better of it outside of London. For what I pay for a sizeable one bedroom in Manchester would struggle to get me a room in a decent sharehouse in London. And I'm not talking shitty parts of Manchester, this is a pretty decent area. The cost of living overall is far lower and can even save money which down south I'd never have been able to do.

Living in Fulham/Shepherds Bush/Hammersmith can be comfy because of all the other Aussies, be a little adventurous as well, why leave Australia only to live in the transplanted version in London? Explore the country.

  4. Who cares? all my Christmases came last year with the "terrible" loss of Goody and Jackson.

Best wishes TR, Im sure it will all be well.

Bit different when you know 'em isn't it?

    God you're arrogant these days.

Luke's been a twat for years.

And all the best Toonraider, I may have taken the piss out of you forever on here but that means nothing when faced with real life. Don't sweat it, it could be nothing but you've done the right thing keeping on top of it.

On a lighter note, these people will cark it this year:

Martin Landau (have you seen him on Entourage? He looks half dead already sadly)

Dustin Hoffman (to follow the real life Rain Man)

Kerry Katona (she'll get too fat and use too much coke trying to burn it away fast)

    George Bush, Sr (old)

Keith Richards (he's gotta be close)

  5. Will be interesting to see how he performs against Manure this weekend in the FA Cup.

I can imagine Man United putting out a youth side and still tearing Leeds to pieces.

Just quoting these for good measure.

For all against the singing, who the fuck else would come to the club with the way it is? Top of the league sure, but not Premiership. A club run by retards in the second division means you take what you can get, and all three of Beckford, Boyd and Chopra would be useful in this league. Worry about the next level if or when we get promoted.

  6. The West Pole by the Gathering

Night is the New Day by Katatonia

Not a great year this one, or maybe I've just stopped caring about new music and reached the old man stage where I just listen to what I like. Think I've been more interested in podcasts this year.

  7. I do agree with you craig, as much as I'd love Webber to be champ it won't happen. However, I can see Vettel winning if his car is as reliable as last season. Hamilton and Button are going to take points off each other, and Mercedes is going to be a (bigger) circus with Schumacher. I honestly think 2010 will be Vettel's year.

  8. 6. Mark Webber

    2010 World Champ

    10. Nico Hulkenberg

    Greatest name ever.

    Jacques Villeneuve

Is 2010 going to be the year of old man World Champions returning or something?

Anyway, I think this whole new points scheme for this year is going to take some getting used to. With Ecclestone not getting his way with the whole most wins = champion, the whole 25 points for first thing almost seems like a backdoor way into it. Don't like it, get rid.

  9. In closing we all have our perceptions and opinions about other nations but the above post you've made as I said one of the most ill-informed load of bollocks ever known since the internets global inception in 1989, further supports my view that crocodile wrestling, jail dodging, shrimp frying flaming gallahs like you, should stick to cricket and that stupid game with about ten posts, and let people who understand the game get on and discuss it.

    It's GALAH you flaming mongrel.

  10. lesser, miniscule, backward, insignificant, wannabe nations such as Australia

    Dick. ;)

Due to the world getting 'smaller', I see a time, however, when qualifying competitions have groups involving teams from Europe, Asia, Africa, N & S America. Then, and only then will it truly be a 'world' cup imo.

I have to be honest, I'd love to see this too however the bigger clubs would reject this in a second. You already have the Aussies playing frendlies in London to make it more likely clubs will release players, and Brazil playing friendlies like the one this week in the Middle East to cut down travel. That's the only drawback to that idea, even though playing regular competitive matches against teams from all over the world would be nothing but a good thing.

  11. BBC Story

So we have both Australia and New Zealand in the World Cup. Excellent for football in our part of the world. I don't understand the argument where you have people saying it diminishes the event having smaller nations like the Kiwis and the like when bigger nations like France and Portugal may not make it through. It's the WORLD Cup, not the European Championships.

Now I don't know how the seedings will work, but a group of Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa would be fucking awesome. Nine points for the Aussies and the Poms and Saffers can fight it out for second place. ;)

  12. Steve, you've never been my enemy.

Just the poor cousin from Melbourne.

Aw, so we're friends? Awesome, can I crash at yours next time I'm in Sydney? Although if you dish out any dust storms like last time I was up there your whole town can fuck off.

  13. Can we make HF life member if he can get CT to fuck off as well?

Ok, it's clear we've got off on the wrong foot. You do have over 7000 posts so I appreciate at one time you must have been interesting.

I blame myself that I joined in the 12 months were you have obviously being going for the most boring poster ever award. Personally I think your recent attempts to turn this into a crufts forum with dreary tales of that White oversized guinea pig have clinched it for you.

What say we give you the award early so you can return to saying something of interest.

    Let's be friends eh?

whoa, I leave for five minutes and Sammy finds a new enemy. I'm hurt.
