I think if we go up, he will get money to spend. They just took a massive and unnecessary gamble by not signing anyone in January.
EDIT: As soon as the final whistle goes in the Barnsley match on the 7th May, this is all what is going to be talked about both amongst the fanbase and the press. I'm going to be a wreck.

Look at the state of him. What a twat.
-
We'll win this by a 2 goal margin at least, I'm going to go for 1-3. Hope the players are well up for it, assuming they watched Huddersfield get tonked. Hopefully Colback dies during the game though.
-
Just did the predictor thing and had us top with 102pts, Brighton second with 95 and Huddersfield 3rd with 92. 3 teams won't get over 90 I don't think, which kinda shows how unpredictable this league is.
-
One of the best moments of the season was McClaren being a pundit before our first game of the season for Sky, talking about us like he played absolutely no part in the reason why we're in the league we're in, was unbelievable and Holloway absolutely merked him
-
No. He's had years to do this and he hasn't once. It'll be Sports Direct he's missed a years worth of free advertising he (Puma) already makes the shirts he might as well have a bleeding big SD sign on them.

They're a better footballing side than us. Outplayed us from start to finish. The lack of a press in the middle third was alarming and allowed the first goal, and Fulham to pick which passes to make with runners around our box.
Being 0-3 down and almost 1-4 down at home in the Championship was both a disgrace and terrifying for what's going to happen next year; I think we'll go up but the amount of new players we'll need and whether Benitez gets that backing off the fat cunt is another thing.
I said after the Bristol City game that it's going to be one minging slog until the end of the season but today was so unbelievably wank it's scaring me for both what we're going to have to do and whether Ashley will allow it to happen.

I've only seen Gamez when he came on vs Brighton and when he started against Blackburn but went off with a bad injury (had to be stretchered off). Looks a tad radge, if you go on his YouTube reel the first thing you see is him cynically fouling Neymar then headbutting him but he seems to be a bit of a leader and he has to be at least decent, with him being at Atletico Madrid.
-
They'd be up in complete arms if it wasn't for the 6 in a row, I reckon. Thanks, Alan.

We've only been on foreign TV thrice, Rotherham home and away and Derby at home. Annoying like, seeing as how Blackburn and teams of that ilk have their away 3pms picked more often. Was hoping BeIN might pick this one up given the paucity of action tomorrow, but no such luck.

Another win. They're shit.

All spot on, Howay. Especially regarding pundits and commentators.
Only Sky pundit I've actually enjoyed listening to that covers Championship games is Peter Beagrie, the rest talk utter shite 99% of the time. I think that opinion of mine comes from the Forest away game, Sky commentators going on about Shelvey's red card like, "Ah, Shelvey's got that in his locker," fuck off man. Beagrie then said at halftime Shelvey's sending off was utter bollocks, which I've respected him for since. Decent all round pundit, n'al. Especially compared the absolute mongs that cover Championship games. Sky need a massive fucking purge, like.

I read a bit of match thread from a Huddrersfield forum linked on N-O and apart from being hilariously clueless, I was struck by a few comments which I've read elsewhere that the refs are favouring us.
I know I'm biased but I think the opposite with Fulham being the starting point and the nadir abviously being that cunt at Forest.
Can ayone think of any games where we have been favoured in a game changing manner? - I rememeber bullshit whinges from Monk at Leeds and Lambert at Wolves but overall I think we've been fucked over quite a few times - and we're still fucking top.
Preston fans are still bitter when we played them at Deepdale in October, where they should have had 2 penalties in stoppage time. Apparently.
-
Can only really fully remember the goals and the drunken celebrations that followed
But it was the perfect away performance, they never troubled us apart from long range efforts which Darlow had comfortably. Can't believe after watching them (Huddersfield) that this was the team that so many of our lot were scared of regarding catching us, they were fucking shit. Their fans going on about how they were the better side, they can't simply grasp the basic concept of having loads of the ball means absolutely fuck all; we seen it under McClaren, the Sheff Wed cup game being a perfect example. Huddersfield were garbage, are a tinpot club and I hope they don't go up in the play offs, get Sheff Wed or Leeds up instead.
Anyway, think we're pretty much up now tbh.

Aye he never uses his left foot like.

Spoke to another fan yesterday who told me, straight faced, that he "has a mate" at the training ground. Mike Ashley turned up, allegedly, to give Rafa a few ideas on how to run his training sessions. Rafa told him where to stick it, and since then Ashley has completely ceded control of all affairs to Benitez.
He said that it was Rafa's choice not to make any signings in January and he'll be in it for the long-term as he's now in charge of accounting
Heard yer da asks for butter on his Subway.

To be honest, after the Brighton game I'd be confident of all three points from anyone aside from Huddersfield (or a team in their form at least). But we're without Gayle, we're still playing Jack fucking Colback and we're still making daft mistakes at the back. Huddersfield are in great form, they're set up in a way that could undo Benitez's available options. Huddersfield have; lots of movement, lots of pressure on the ball, lots of possession.
I'd be more confident if Mitrovic and Murphy looked assured up front, but they don't.
QPR aside, he's been canny. Done what we brought him in for. There must be something about him because as soon as I saw he was coming on on Tuesday I thought we were going to win the game, or at least draw.
-
I think the 'take a point' feeling is more because it effectively kills off much threat of them catching us as opposed to any real fear of playing Huddersfield, at this point in the season it's just about finishing the job and closing out our position. The only real downside of the draw would be it would mean Brighton would have a chance to go level on points again. If we play anything like we did against Brighton we'll fucking batter them imo.
Agree.
With our fantastic away record, I don't understand why people, me included, would want a point away from home. We've won most of our away games. Our stats would be even better if we weren't robbed by that 14 year old lass' holiday in Tenerife haircut mong at Forest. We were in control of most of the game yesterday, other than the first 15 minutes which is to be expected with Brighton always going to come out fast. -
Another 1-2 to us or a 1-3. Feel quite confident after Tuesday but would still take a draw, which we shouldn't be, it's Huddersfield Town ffs. Aye, they're having a good season, but saying that I'll take a point away at Huddersfield is just

Bit early to start this, like.

You do a podcast?
I've looked on TheFIshPodcast. com and there is nothing there.

Agree with everything above.
I also loved watching him get on the 4th officials case all game after the bullshit pen decision, constantly making his point and keeping the ref aware that Rafa wouldn't just let crap like that slide especially if it cost us. It may be a part of the reason Knockaert got nowt from his play acting.
Knockaert was acting like an absolute fucking nonce in the first half; when Rafa was holding out his arm shouting onto the pitch after he basically slapped the ball I thought he was telling Knockaert what he just did, which was mint
Rafa will he stay ? or will he go ?

The entire fan base is behind him, the support for him at the Derby game - which was immediately after the QPR game - was concerted by pretty much everyone in the ground. If he walks, a lot of us will to. The only reason me and my dad renewed this season was because of Rafa. If he goes we aren't going back until Ashley fucks off.
Not that I think he will. Because we aren't going unbeaten the fucking mong out of spite presumably didn't pay the money for Townsend or any player in January and it was for that reason only IMO. Rafa has played these games with owners before and knew exactly what to do in his post QPR interview.
