  1. "Happy days are here again..."
  2. They haven't moved the goal posts again surely?... I can't believe it Another deadline in a month's time, what a shocker - anyone willing to take the bet that come the end of August there will be an announcement that we'll be sold by the end of October?
  3. Model (french) professional. So, it turns out he's the same as all the other French wankers... stroppy little twat. Still, this won't help us get a decent amount for him when it comes to sell up.
  4. Good analysis A pertinent point precisely posited I thought we were better off (in a financial sense) though It sounds about right, even without the £40m debt he still wants his £100m loan back which still means we'd cost someone £200m eventually - nobody in their right mind would take that on would they? Thing is I don't see what he's got to gain by keeping hold of us, I mean it's only going to get worse and mean we're all the more of an unattractive prospect. His best bet would be to cut his losses and near give us away because he'll never get what he wants for us, all he will get is bills for upkeep and wages until it comes to a point where he decides to close the business. Basically I think it's looking like he's just going to run us in to the ground because let's face it, why should he care if he destroys the club, it's just something he bought on a whim.
  5. I must admit that thought did cross my mind but then what could they do? Sad times.
  6. I cant be arsed looking, but hasnt the wage bill increased by ~20 million a year under Ashley. It seems to be accepted wisdom that FFS was a useless businessman, and clueless with money. It seems to me that he understood that you had to grow turnover and generate income, and to my untrained eye actually seemed to this pretty succesfully. Plainly he got stuff badly wrong(Souness) and gambled unsucessfully(Owen, Luque) which had left us in a position that was far from ideal, but I have yet to be convinced we were seconds from administration. I would rather have his brand of failure than Ashleys brand of success for sure. And to be honest I think we would have fared better with administration, 10 point deduction and FS in charge than Ashleys moronic performance Yep, that's how I see it too.
  7. I think you're getting a bit carried away now bud
  8. After reading that things still look pretty much as bleak as they always have done. Nothing's happening and we're still fucked - sickening - I'm sliding further towards the idea that Ashley's being spiteful now and trying to piss everyone off for his own amusement.
  9. I suppose if we're going for all the teams he's been involved (playing or managed) with you'd end up having: Fulham West Bromwich Albion Vancouver Royals Ipswich Town Sporting CP FC Porto FC Barcelona PSV Eindhoven Newcastle United I guess you could keep it as an English club trophy and just have Fulham, WBA, Ipswich and Newcastle. If you dropped Vancouver out of the equation you could have an eight team knockout tournament which wouldn't take much longer. Good idea though, I think a SBR Trophy game every year would be great!
  10. I wonder if he still gets injured as much as when he was here.
  11. Where's this like? Skysports supposedly, hopefully its bullshit. D. Craig: "Llambias informed me that Hughton has given exceptional service to the club and deserves the job after steadying the ship (!) through a difficult period." Just when you think it couldn't get anyworse...... I think we've established that this was a wind-up now
  12. I gave up trying to find a rational explanation for all this a long time ago and I suggest you do the same or you'll end up rocking in a corner of a darkened room repeatedly writing out 'it'll be sold within a week' using hand fulls of your own shit. Yeah, that's what I've been reduced to (See my earlier post)... except without the handfuls of shit
  13. Caretaker Chris: I hope that's an indicator that something is still on and that it's just a matter of time.
  14. Direct quotes attributed to Derek Llambias by Sky Sports last week (30th July 2009) As much as it's probably a pack of lies I'm going to try and bury my head in the sand and hope it's the truth until I read differently from an official source. Bunch of cunts, all of them
  15. Really? I mean don't get me wrong I'm still fed up with it all.
  16. It's getting to the stage where whenever someone mentions Newcastle Utd I withdraw in to myself, crawl in to the corner and start rocking back and forth...
  17. Where's this like? Skysports supposedly, hopefully its bullshit. D. Craig: "Llambias informed me that Hughton has given exceptional service to the club and deserves the job after steadying the ship (!) through a difficult period." AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! This is beyond a fucking joke! FUCK YOU MIKE ASHLEY! Fuck you and your fucking fat family you fucking prick, I hope you all fucking die!!!! I've had enough of this shit
  18. I like both the change kits for this season, the home kit's the dodgy one with that big blank bit on the back.
  19. So, for the benefit of Noisewater... "Ahem" ... "Told you so!" Nothing concrete there. I'll not believe it until the inks dry on the contract. That's fair, and neither will I for what it's worth. Just pointing out that all I'd posted before was something I'd heard, looks like someone else heard it too. Let's hope at least one of these takeovers has legs!
  20. So, for the benefit of Noisewater... "Ahem" ... "Told you so!"
  21. This may not have definate legs but it could well be a strapped to a skateboard and trundling down a hill...
