He's a canny defender, had a nightmare of a game against Charlton away last season though. Still think Taylor is our best defender.

What about Defoe and Nugent then, Defoe is proven in the division and not sure how much Nugent would be but worth a gamble.

Definetely not worth the £10+ million his club are asking for, but us been Newcastle we'll pay way over the odds..Just hope he's not another John Dahl Tommason.

You don't know if Trundle or Eastwood would make it, nobody thought Andy Cole when we bought him from Bristol would make it. What about Nugent, we can name a million and one players but nobody knows who Freddy and Roeder have in mind...we might be all very surprised.

Just think we need to make a move quick for at least one top quality striker...Ameobi and Luque up front for the Intertoto Cup, bet Chopra wishes he's stayed now.

Hi all, This is my first topic on the board so be nice, so Owen is out for 5 months. What do you think Roeder and Freddy will do now, go for broke and bring in top quality players ie. Torres, Toni or go for old past there best players. We really need 3 new strikers in my eyes.
