Yeah, there can't be many bands who did that - "the sound is fucked so we'll come back and play again for nowt".
-
The band I saw the most - probably saw them about 25 times altogether.
-
I love Placebo and still go and see them when I can but they seem slightly out of place there. I've seen them mix it with rock acts at Reading but Metallica and Sepultura are a bit other end of the scale.
-
Turns out it was 2001 I saw Sabbath at MK bowl - Slipknot and Tool were the support acts.
-
Blind as well as stupid
-
What year was that? I saw them there in 2000 but the support doesn't look right by my memory....

I saw the stereophonics at the London forum the night we played stevenage - they'd just won an nme award and me and a mate went on the basis of having heard a thousand trees - only a couple of hundred there but it was great.

My first intended gig was Rainbow - I queued for tickets at the City Hall just before Xmas 79 on a Saturday based on a rumour which turned out to be a few days out and as they went on sale on a school day the next week I missed out. The Saturday was when we played QPR and won 4-2 - the turning point in a comeback was when Peter Withe tackled a dog that ran on the pitch while a free kick was about to be taken and it seemed to put them off leading to him scoring with a header from it. We should get PL to identify the dog if he can.

Black Sabbath with Dio on the Heaven and Hell tour - City Hall March 1980. It was great but a bit scary as a 15/16 year old with an audience which seemed to be about 80% hells angels and bikers.

Thing that settled me down is that looking at the remaining games in general, there are shit loads of six pointers among the bottom eight or nine. For us to worry 2 or more strugglers would have to start beating the top teams only as they can't all take enough points taking into account cross fixtures. This is precisely what did for the mackems when they were relegated to league one when the last round of fixtures meant either Bolton or Burton were safe as they played each other.

Other Games 21/22: Talk about Actual Football

If they do go down, I know they'll be gone within 5 seconds but I'd enjoy seeing Alli, Ricarlison and Van der Beek suffer however briefly. -

Everton in for a drubbing by the looks of things so far (2-0) -
He was one of the first to come out with the won nowt/nowt special/expect trophies trope. Fucking table tennis player iirc.

Is that Arabic for "Adam Johnson" like.
-
Matthew Syed Slagged us off years ago and is now peddling the "Putin has won because of the woke" line. (I think it's the same bloke, could be wrong - if so two cunts).
-
Andy Walker has the stench of someone who can't quite forget how utterly shit he was for us.
-
Fat tramp is the correct designation for Samuel. (Not everyone with a beard is a tramp but his is particularly trampy).

I always love the stories whinging about "dirty mags" constantly wearing their strips back to back with ones about "strutting through Ponteland Airport in my lads top". Might have mentioned before that I went to Kiev first time around with Keith Barratt's trip which with it being September meant there were a lot of holiday flights leaving at the same time. I remember seeing several packs of red and white bastards visibly cringing and desperately trying to cover-up when they saw the unsavoury types heading out with us.

I asked before what the legal basis/definition of corruption is as I can't see why there hasn't been charges over covid contracts so now I'd like to know how giving an alleged spy (as warned by the people whose actual fucking job it is to know these things) government contracts and a peerage doesn't amount to treason.

A few years ago a woman ran me into the verge when coming out of a road where the road I was on turned at 90 degrees and I even indicated I was following the road as I could see she was going to pull out and when I asked her what the fuck she was doing, she tried to tell me off for swearing in front of her kid. I told her she was lucky he hadn't witnessed her killing someone.

I'm loving these post match victory team photos. -
I'd had had a leaflet through the door but had an old woman knocking earlier wanting to know if I'd like to help with the street party she's organising for the jubilee - I politely declined I'm thinking of going abroad that week to avoid all the shite - that's assuming Liz makes it till then obviously.

She has no eyebrows, just shite.
