Northumbria police say the bodies of two adults and two children - thought to be from the same family - were found in the city's Hawthorn Gardens. A force spokeswoman said the deaths were being treated as suspicious and that a man who was known to visit the address was being sought. Another property in nearby Rydal Road, Gosforth, was also sealed off as part of the investigation. Police have not yet released any names or details of how the people died.
