So a full console, semi-remake of pokemon yellow comes to Switch this week.

 

Some mechanics have been changed to make it more "new player" friendly but the core experience will still be in there.

 

Pokemon Go compatibility and drop in couch co-op are both in too which is pretty cool.

 

Definitely aimed at bringing the younger market into the Pokemon game universe, the more recent ones have gotten somewhat complicated with layers and layers of mechanics built up over the 20 years the game have been coming but I'll certainly be playing for the refreshed nostalgia hit and introducing Mrs A to her first Pokemon game.
